Actually TAL training I attended for SSTS course, I was extremely late for logistical reasons and was welcomed by the two instructors there John & Ian. I'm extremely grateful for Ian's initial kindness for accepting me late and the gift of dry footwear thank you Ian. John Delaney allowed me to take part in course after arriving over an hour late like a drookit dug, he Assisted me and gave me a chance to catch up whilst presenting the course in a clear and engaging manner. Thanks again John.

Having got lost in the outskirts of Edinburgh yesterday, I moved into the right hand land in anticipation of doing a 'u' turn at a roundabout. I looked in my rear view mirror to find one of this company's vans travelling so closely I was unable to see far enough to the side to pull in safely. The driver then sounded the horn and continued to tailgate me dangerously closely so I slowed down (but not so much as to confuse traffic in the slow lane). When reaching the queue at the anticipated roundabout the driver wound his window down and bellowed, "You f***ing dick" I do not believe anything I did cost him any time on his journey.

While I can neither comment first-hand on this company with respect to its representatives competence regarding building or civil engineering, nor claim to be a perfect driver, I would suggest my experience does not bode well!

Purchased a new home from this Akela costing £310 k not a small amount by any stretch if the emagination.
You do expect some snagging with your new home but not the amount we had to report.
The house was filthy on the handover day, painter had to repaint most of the doors and skirting boards. The glass on our double glazed windows and patio doors had to be replaced, complete patio door and window replaced, all wooden window sills removed and fitted properly. and the list goes on.

We also reported water ponding and algie on our flat roof surfaces which was in turn damaging our roof tiles and the Akela Director Mr Paul Winter said was a maintenance issue.

We instructed an Independent Surveyor to examine our roof and the report stated that the roof had been badly constructed and required immediate repairs to rectify the problem of ponding and Algie growth which will in time deteriorate the roof covering.

The response to our Independent suveyers report from Mr Paul Winters the Director of Akela was that they will take NO action unless water starts to ingress inside our new home.

We have also sent a letter of complaint to the Akela Group Managing Director Mr Mark Markey with no reply , we also have on numerous occasions requested a meeting with both Directors which has been refused by Mr Paul Winters.

Shame on you for treating your customers in such a manner.

My wife and I are both pensioners and can do well without all this hassle.
