NOT EVEN DESERVING OF 1 STAR!
A great example of rogue so-called professionals! Having purchased a new home in a lovely little village in Buckinghamshire, we'd hoped for our dream home to be a positively memorable experience, however, from the moment we received the keys we experienced a lack-luster, unhelpful and absolutely appalling attitude to customer service.
Having now been in our home for 3 years we still have outstanding snagging issues that have been ignored, ignored and dismissed. Major failures with heating, which have only been partly fixed, subsidence creeping in to the rear of the property, a patio that is barely held together, interior plug sockets that were superglued to the backing plates, huge holes in the plasterboard where wires have been routed without cavity plates, failed cement bedding around the roof tiles and so much more!
Jonathan and Darren are directors of the company and have been nothing but rude, unhelpful and dismissive of our requests for support, despite having spent a huge sum of money with their company! Our house is one of 8 built on the same plot, and every one of the builds has experienced issues - many of which have either taken an age to resolve or not acknowledged at all.

I realised how bad things were when on one of the rare occasions Albury bosses actually responded to me, it became clear that a lot of the providers/suppliers were no longer in business or operating. I have a kitchen riddled with poor fitting cabinetry, a worktop that looks like a 10 year old cut the mitre joint with a blunt saw, and a washing machine that still dances around the floor because they never fitted adequate blocks and anchors to stabilise it.

I couldn't tell you if Aldbury are still officially in business because they have never answered the office phone to me, rarely have my emails received a response, and my texts/WhatsApp messages ignored - despite having been opened and read, but then what I can expect when Jonathan (the main commercial director) lives in France.

These cowboys are fully deserving of a visit from Matt or Dom from Rogue Traders as they fully fit the brief, and in reality they could well be on a beach somewhere sunning it up as we have no idea what the state of operation is, but one thing is for sure, we don't expect any help from them any time soon.

SO IF YOU HAVE MADE IT TO THE END OF MY SHORT(ISH) RANT, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT SHARE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY, TIME AND EMOTIONS ON THESE CLOWNS!

1 star is too generous for these cowboys.

My partner and I purchased our first home (new build property) in April 2021. At this time we were very pleased with the house and found little to no significant issues with the build quality. This was until the winter came in 2021 and we needed to turn the heating on. November 2021 I tried to turn the heating on, to find that it did not work. In Spring 2022, after many emails and phone calls to 'Aldbury Homes', the company which built the property, they sent a contractor to have a look at the heating and try to fix it, to no prevail. After many more emails and phone calls, Aldbury Homes contacted a Samsung specialist contractor (the heating system is made by Samsung), who came to carry out diagnostics on the system and the air source heat pump itself.

Samsung came back to me and Jonathan Gotzheim (owner of Aldbury Homes) with 2 lengthy reports and quotes outlining everything that is wrong with the heating system and the air source heat pump, how to fix the issues, and how much it is going to cost. In short, the heating system had been installed incorrectly causing the air source heat pump to work significantly harder than it should have been to push hot water around the pipework, causing it to break.

Jonathan Gotzheim has been aware that we have had no heating in the house for 3 winters, and shown no effort to do anything about it, and will not answer my calls or emails. I have not heard from Jonathan for 3 months. In this time, the builders warranty which Aldbury Homes were covered by, (Premier Guarentee) has now expired. Throughout 2022 and 2023, every phone call to Jonathan would end with him telling me he will 'get back to me tomorrow', he never did. I would always have to make countless phone calls to him to get an answer and they would always end the same way. I believe that Jonathan was stalling all along to get to the point where the builders warranty would expire so that they didn't have to deal with the issue.

3 years of asking, 3 years of stalling. For a company who claim to have, quote, ‘world-class customer service’ (taken directly from their website), we are absolutely appalled and disgusted at the way we have been treated after to buying a house from them.

You wouldn’t buy a fridge that doesn’t keep your food cold.
