We recently had a single storey rear extension built by AP Berrystone and we are *really* pleased with the results.

Adrian has so much experience, nothing phases him. Our older property had access issues and some other tricky obstacles (both known and unknown before we started) but Adrian and his team took it all in their stride.

Always punctual and reliable. They work to a very high standard, and I believe him when he says "I won't do any work for a customer that I wouldn't be happy with on my own house".

We used Adrian Berrystone and his contractors for the refurbishment of a 1970s-era house in Swindon, Wilts. The initial plan called for a full refurbishment: New kitchen, new bathrooms, new heating, new lighting, new electrics, new windows & doors as well as a garage conversion and moving a stairwell.

During the early stages of work some major structural issues were uncovered. Adrian not only did not drop us as a client because the job ballooned to several times the expected size, but he was also utterly unfazed by the scale of the changes required. These included a new roof, demolition and reconstruction of the majority of the upper floor, re-routing of two sewer lines, damp prevention and the fixing of numerous structural issues with the building.

The job went for four months to over a year, involved multiple steel beams , gabion ground works, a septic tank, damp-proof membranes, re-routing gas and electric mains and, at one point, four storeys of scaffolding - all on a difficult site over multiple levels and with narrow access.

Adrian and his team are 100% committed to their customer, the standard of their work is impeccable, the competency of their building skills and the quality of the workmanship is the best I've ever seen.

My wife and I now have a house that we absolutely adore, a house that is solid, warm, watertight and secure. We have had a a brutal journey getting this house finished, but Adrian has been supportive, determined and as passionate about the finished project as we were.

I cannot recommend AP Berrystone enough. If there were more stars available I would add them. If you have any building projects, you should definitely look to employ them.

Always difficult choosing the right people to work on your home. We are very glad we chose Adrian and his team. He’s converted an old annexed ‘shed’ at our cottage to a beautiful en-suite room for guests to stay. Adrian’s planning and communication throughout was second to none, we were kept informed all through the 10week project, every person Adrian brought on site (whether they worked for APB or sub contractors) were thoroughly lovely, polite, respectful guys. We have just come to the end of the project to turn our house into our dream home in which Adrian not only built us a beautiful single story extension with roof lanterns and large bifold door that extends our previously small kitchen into a gorgeous open plan living area, but also went the extra mile to rework our unusable sloped back garden into a beautiful space where we can't wait to spend our Summer evenings.

We obtained a number of competitive quotes for the project, but our final decision was made on the basis that Adrian was the only one who showed a true interest and enthusiasm for the project and he understood exactly what was needed from the moment he saw the plans. He quoted a fixed price which was professionally presented with a detailed breakdown of the work to be done.

Despite unexpected issues with the ground at the start of the project where the building inspector insisted that the footings be increased to two and a half times the depth proposed by the architect, the inevitable problems with materials supply because of Covid and the wettest Summer that I can remember, Adrian always found a way to minimize the effect on the overall project schedule and cost without compromising on his vision and philosophy that the work should always be done to the highest quality. Adrian has an eye for detail and will not let anything including even the smallest finishing touches slip past. Adrian takes pride in his communication with clients and we can see why, we were kept fully informed throughout the build with most questions answered within minutes.

His team of tradesmen were a joy to have on our property. Their work was always of the highest standard, combined with punctually and a friendly politeness you could not ask for more. They would cleanup the site daily to minimize the stress of such a large project on both us and our neighbors.

The quality of the extension has exceeded our expectations and we would recommend Adrian's work without hesitation. Thank you Adrian for restoring our faith in builders!

This is the second project that Adrian has completed for us, we were pleased with the first and over the moon with this one.
We were on holiday for a significant period of the build and the team could not have been more helpful at both keeping us informed and taking the stress out of the project.

We have just came to the end of our single storey extension, which we are absolutely delighted and over the moon with.
We had an existing lean to demolished and a new bigger extension built consisting of large patio doors, roof lantern, utility room and extended living area etc.

Adrian was fantastic from start to finish, he knew exactly what we wanted from the plans and has exceeded our expectations. We ran into a few unexpected problems during the build involving existing walls, foundations etc but Adrian dealt with it brilliantly. He kept us up to date throughout the project and always explained any findings or alterations that had to be made.
Adrian will always advise you if he thinks something would work better and asks you for your thoughts before any change is made, but ultimately he will always fulfil your request/vision.

Adrian and his team were all professional, polite and respectful throughout. The workmanship is all to a very high standard and attention to detail was always maintained. Everything was kept clean and tidy each day with the least minimal disruption. We gave Adrian spare keys for our property from the offset due to us being at work each day so access wouldn’t be an issue and knew everything would be safe in safe hands with Adrian.

Adrian and his team take pride in their work and the service they deliver. He is a very respectful individual with a wealth of experience and will always do his best by you.

We chose Adrian for our recent building work which was converting a garaage to a bedroom,and adding a single story side extension. Adrian's quote wasnt the cheapest but we liked the "no hidden costs" in the quote, and Adrian's experience and reputation in the trade, convinced us to use Adrian.. Once work started we found Adrian and his work to be of a very high standard and the work was completed on time and would have been on budget except for an issue with the groundworks during excavation that was un
expected, but adrian's experience showed here and we were able to get passed this issue quickly.

We are very pleased with the finished work.
