To Whom It May Concern. We approached Mr Matlock for possible help to draw our planned single storey hipped roof, extension to our home. We were very unfamiliar with what to do and when, and all the processes and best practices to follow. Mr Matlock was able to provide upfront various clear options and costs for his services that helped us manage our budget and gave us realistic timings for the necessary schedules. Mr Matlock visited our property and drew house plans and discussed the details we required for our planned extension. Mr Matlock was on time, well presented, amenable, and importantly knowledgeable and competent in his area. Mr Matlock was able to react to our initial comments on the first draft, and fulfilled our expectations in the level of detail recorded we required, and the overall plan portfolio. We used the plans to consult with several prospective builders who all seemed impressed with the information therein, and enabled accurate quotes to be raised. We also used Mr Matlock to prepare and submit, and manage our building application to the council, and he was also extremely enabling through recommending and liaising with a structural engineer and party wall surveyor. With hindsight, the benefit of accurate plans and a person knowledgeable of the planning application process was of great assistance. We would have no hesitation in commending and endorsing Mr Matlocks services for similar architectural/planning work.
