Very approachable ,friendly and polite. We negotiated a price and work started promptly and completed on time. He was open to new suggestions and with his vast knowledge and building experience, contributed a lot to my ideas in planning the conversion of my garage into a beautiful living room with a modern shower unit adjoining the room.

We recently had a full width single storey rear extension, new bathroom and full house renovation work carried out. We gave the job to Nick mainly due to his 20+ years of experience in high value residential and commercial projects but also because we could see he saw our vision and he was able to easily gain our confidence that he could do it.

Nicks pricing is reasonable and competitive especially considering what he brings to the table. He is an excellent team manager ensuring his team are efficient and effective in their tasks as well as highly motivated and engaged at all times. His experience was valuable to us especially since he was happy to provide us advice and suggestions that led to us achieving better results from a cost as well as design perspective.

Nick is very defensive of his great reputation and this manifests into the way he conducts his job, always with 100% passion and dedication to getting the best result.

Having Nick on the job here was a delight. He is always happy and bubbly and able to lift the mood at anytime. He knows how to have a laugh when the time is right and we used to look forward to our encounters almost everyday!

Before I started my build, I went to Makka and prayed to Allah that he sends me a solid builder. I came back… and I chose to give the contract to Nik. Extremely glad I did.

His team (and he) are former military men. Started work each day 8am sharp. A fixed time for lunch every day. Did NOT stop for tea or cigarettes regularly (as many builder’s do). They only accepted one tea from my wife each day. Left at 5pm sharp. His team were like machines. Constantly working.

Our double storey extension and loft conversion happened whilst we were living there over the winter! 2x kids, under the age of 10 living on a building site? No, Nik organized the job so that at any given time during the build, we would have a working kitchen and bathroom. He sealed off the build area and always ensured that we had living space. Us being Muslim, his team and he were always respectful towards my wife and formed a caring relationship with my young kids. Our build took place in the Winter. Started in Sept 2023 and finished in Feb 2024. During the cold winter months we weren't affected by the cold or the rain as Nik's team ensured that we always had a warm and rain-tight living space.

Nik’s team do everything. Electrics, plumbing, building, tiling, kitchen fitting. I was at work 70% of the build. Nik and I would communicate via Whatsapp. We never argued and he was a straight talker.

We had a grumpy, racist neighbour who doesn’t like to see the Asian neighbours next door have a happy family life. He tried to stop planning permission, made various complaints to the council and became known on the street as a ‘serial loser’ because he lost all of them. The council and building inspectors couldn't find fault with Nik’s workmanship. Nik just had a way to ‘finesse’ the grumpy old neighbour throughout the build process. Trust developed over the months and at one stage, I gave him the key to my house for months. He came and went…. Always knocking before entering and always messaging asking permission anyway.

Allah granted my wishes of getting a solid and honourable builder. I did not know him in anyway before the build and now he is my friend. I have no hesitation in recommending this top guy.
