Stunning site to visit.
Admittedly we expected more, by that we mean it's huge and there's buildings everywhere. But only one entrance in to what seemed a limited amount of areas. Could be wrong but seemed small on the inside.
Staff very friendly and the parts we saw were amazing with many exhibits and things to see.
Loved the dragon search for the kids.
The museum was a fun little thing we did and didn't know was there.
Beach looked lovely but was a very windy day so we avoided the beach.
The castle appeared well-maintained and appeared there was some accommodation (one reason we could see all the areas)
Parking was great but gets full fast £6 all day was a bargain.
And being so close to the castle was a bonus.
Definitely pre book ahead. We got in much faster compared to the on-the-gate purchases.

Spectacular place, the view out to sea, sand dunes first, then beach then sea, let your imagination run wild. Amazing walk through, history preserved, well worth a visit. Places to eat there too, and toilets. Only car park £5 for all day, so can visit castle then rest of day at the beach. You will not be disappointed. Here's a taster!!

A superb half day. I was concerned that my disabled wife would not get the most from our visit but that thankfully wasn’t the case. Parking offered on the level close to the electric buggy shuttle. This hop on hop off service made getting to the highlights so easy.
The cafe was excellent, we had coffee on arrival and later on a lovely lunch. Wonderful staff everywhere.
The Great Hall and rooms are quite accessible although there are many steps to negotiate as you exit. It’s difficult to go back against the flow so those with mobility issues beware of this. There is a film running at Great Hall level showing the other rooms, this is a great option.
The views from all parts of the castle are spectacular.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Awesome castle, definitely a thing of beauty.

The sea and beach are probably some of the best I have seen. Golden sand, just stunning.

Food in the cafe was great, very tasty.

Price-wise, I paid 50-something pounds for six of us, but two under-fives were free.

I kind of expected to pay maybe 30 pounds, and food prices are a little pricey (10 to 12 pounds), but you can get snacks for a couple of pounds, like donuts. We shared a meal as it got pricey for a large family.

Large parts of the castle are not open to the public, but the parts that are make the trip worthwhile.

I love *The Last Kingdom*, so for me, I had to go. Glad I did.

There is a lot of history, and the castle is excellently maintained and managed; all the staff were great.

I highly recommend a visit; anyone who hasn't been, it's definitely one of the best castles in the UK.

The beach is easily the best beach I've seen in the UK.

Car parking was cheap (6 pounds) and made walking up to the castle a breeze. I'm not sure why some people park so far away, but the car park staff were great and very welcoming.

Unbelievable surrounding area and beautiful views. If you are planning a full day bring a picnic as the castle grounds have not only eye catching scenery but lovely garden and benches to sit back and rest the old legs after what I found a great and nostalgic walk . The walk around the inside of the castle was amazing with great historic memorabilia and I must say the staff go above and beyond. I did not watch an episode of the kingdom till this tour but enjoyed pointing out the castle in the series. If you pick a nice sunny day you won't be disappointed

Really enjoyed this castle. Lots to explore, lovely grounds, dog friendly throughout the grounds, just not inside, which is fair enough. Also, there's a small aviation museum. Gift shop had a nice variety of items. Beautiful views surrounding the castle too.

A brilliant day out from start to finish!

Bamburgh Castle is absolutely stunning — so well kept, clean, and beautifully presented. The grounds and facilities were spotless, and the whole place is clearly cared for with pride. Staff were friendly, helpful, and made the experience even better.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the food! Everything was fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced — especially considering that places like this often hike up the cost. It felt like genuine value.

The real cherry on top was the jousting event by The Knights of Royal England, which was included at no extra cost. It added a whole extra layer of excitement to the day — fun for both kids and adults alike.

Top marks all round. 5 stars from me! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Amazing place. History, wow. Dogs trust based in grounds and for a donation they looked after my dog for an hour while we explored the state rooms. Dogs are allowed in the grounds but not inside the rooms. Parking in the castle was only £6 for the day..cheaper than main car park at the bottom. So much to see and explore. Like Us we loved the vikings and the last kingdom. Memorabilia here from the netflix series, like outfits/costumes armour, swords, a throne plus more. Souvenirs to buy in the lovely gift shop. The cafe was lovely and we ate in the stables which had been converted very beautifully still leaving all the original features. What a fabulous day..spent 4 hours in here.
The talk in the ground was amazing, the young lady knew her history, so knowledgeable.
The small museum with artifacts from the war was brilliant
Stunning views of the beautiful coast from up in the castle grounds
Just wow 👌
