We recently had the pleasure of working with Sam, Darren, and the team from Bell & Collier on an extension at our home in Merrow, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

The project included adding a carport, extending the front of the house, and enlarging a bedroom to the front of the property. Everything was completed to a high standard, and the craftsmanship speaks for itself.

The team was professional and friendly and kept the site clean throughout. Communication was excellent—we were always kept in the loop. The payment schedule was clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process stress-free.

The final result has transformed our home, and we’re thrilled! We highly recommend Bell & Collier to anyone looking for skilled and reliable builders. Thank you for your fantastic work.

Sam, Darren and the team did a great job for us. They knocked down an old conservatory and built a single storey extension including kitchen and utility fitting. They (and all the subcontractors) were polite, friendly and really easy to deal with/ talk to. They were patient with questions and completed all snagging requests. They tidied up at the end of every day and enabled us to live in the house during construction. They worked with our building inspector and the process for certification against planning was smooth. They finished within agreed timescales. We would definitely use them again.

Sam and his team completed a first floor extension to create a master bedroom & ensuite above a former garage, alongside a utility room, with family room behind in the former garage space + the creation of a stunning new porch.

Bad weather in November and December 23 did lead to timescales slipping but that was not to be helped. The work came in on budget and we have found all of Sam's team to be friendly, knowledgeable and generally tidy.

Sam liaised with our architect and structural engineer as well as booking all of the GBC Building Department inspections. Quite simply they made the entire process of living on a building site completely bearable and the end result is better than we could of imagined. The value added to our property (not that we would dream of selling now it is just how we want it) is more than the project cost - so a win:win!!

We would 100% recommend Bell and Collier, and would use them again at the drop of hat.

Sam and his team have turned a very dated and falling apart conservatory that we could only use for 3 months of the year (before the floor collapsed) into a bright and modern extension that we’ve turned into the dining room we’ve always wanted (see pics)
Sam couldn’t have been more helpful when we were looking at materials etc suggesting alternatives if they were better or more cost effective.
Once the job got underway Sam and his team were punctual and hard working (really surprised how quickly everything progressed)
