I’ve had a good experience with Brookworth, buying my first home was less stressful than I expected, partly due to how well explained the process was from Brookworth staff. I was made to feel very welcome and the aftersales care has been at the higher end of good.

Brookworth customer service has been exemplary. I moved in in April 2024 and any issue no matter how small has been dealt with immediately. The quality of the build is outstanding and I would totally recommend their properties to anyone.

Purchased a home through Brookworth.
Bought whilst it was still being built. Enabled us to customise the interior to our choice.
Very happy with the home and build. It’s been a couple of years and things are still working as expected.

The aftercare service was faultless. The team there are superb. Honestly can’t fault them. They were on top of every matter throughout. The teams sent to rectify any small issues were all highly professional, punctual and did a great job in resolving the issues first time around.

From my own experience, Brookworth definitely try to go the extra mile and deliver results in a efficient and timely manner.

You really can’t ask for any more than that. I’d be happy to purchase again from them. And I’m not easily pleased so that tells you all you need to know

This review is solely based on my exchanges with Brookworth's Customer Care Manager - Julie.
I am happy with the house we bought from them for the most part.

I've had the unfortunate experience of having to speak to Julie in customer service just now (most interactions with her over the past few years have been poor, but her colleague Taryn is very kind and helpful) to talk about an issue regarding our house alarm system. Julie not only spoke over me for half the call, but was insistent that I was incorrect about most statements I made, despite the fact she had no authority in passing such judgement on the subjects discussed - NOT THAT A CUSTOMER CARE PERSON SHOULD BE JUDGING THEIR CUSTOMERS TO THEIR FACES IN THE FIRST PLACE.
I can go into specifics if someone wants to reach out to me to speak about this.

I've never dealt with a customer care person as unhelpful and inappropriate as Julie. Seldom has she shown any interest in pursuing successful outcomes with me (the customer). Contrary to what her job title suggests, she is rude, defensive, and judgemental - all poor qualities in customer service. It's abundantly clear that she lacks training and communication skills to do her job properly. What's even more worrying is that I know several people (all neighbours in our terrace) that have complained about her, but it doesn't seem that Brookworth are keen on addressing this.

I recently purchased a flat from Brookworth Homes, and I have to say that their aftercare service has been nothing short of fantastic. As with any new builds, it is not uncommon to face a few hiccups in the first year, and my experience was no different. From issues with the bifold doors and insulation to a minor issue with the ceiling, there were a handful of things that needed attention.

However, the standout factor for me was the prompt and attentive response from the Brookworth Homes team at every instance. Whether it was a query from my end or reporting a problem, their team always made time and showed a high level of responsiveness.

Yes, certain repairs did take a little time, but it is important to appreciate the team's efforts in resolving these issues. The speed and quality of their service have been impeccable. They've shown a true commitment to respond to my reported issues.

Despite some negative reviews I've seen, my experience with Brookworth Homes has been positive and fulfilling. The willingness of their team to tackle problems head-on and their overall professionalism have made me a satisfied homeowner.

We purchased our Brookworth home in July 2020. During covid lockdown. Really pleased with the house. With any new home there were issues but I have to say Brookworth customer care team sorted everything out for us. We had no problem contacting them. I can enthusiastically recommend Brookworth!

Brookworth Homes...nice looking houses, terrible aftercare!

We moved into our Brookworth Home in November 2020 and on the day we moved in, our hot water thermostat had been wired up wrong and we had no hot water. Given that we moved in on a Friday, no one was able to come and fix it until the Monday, so we were stuck with no hot water for a full weekend. Not only that, our en-suite shower temperature controls had been wired up incorrectly as well and the only temperature was nuclear. We were baffled that the house had been signed off like this, as surely this is something that Brookworth should have checked to make sure the basic necessities are available to new buyers on the day they move in?

We had a lump in a wall that needed fixing and when it was, the final finish was terrible compared to the rest of the house and now Brookworth are saying it is fine and doesn't warrant another visit, despite the Brookworth engineer saying that it didn't look good and needed redoing.

The grass in our back garden was ruined before we moved in due to no suitable drainage within the garden and the lack of maintenance before we moved in. We have had a 2-year battle with Brookworth to replace it, and it was finally done a few weeks ago.

This is just a small insight into what it's like dealing with the customer care team.

Whenever you email the customer care team, it's rare they respond within the 48-hour allotted time frame they give you and I have often had to resend emails 2 or 3 times before getting a response.

Towards the end of your 2-year warranty, the majority of stuff that you report gets fobbed off as "shrinkage" and falls "within tolerance", which is an absolute joke!

We had a new build with Bellway a few years ago and at the time, we thought their customer care wasn't great but compared to Brookworth, Bellway are saints.

The house as a shell genuinely looks nice but if you can avoid Brookworth, I would...at all costs! The standard of aftercare is not worth the headache.

Been to see Brookworths new development in Rottingdean called Skylarks and I have to say they are the finest example of new build homes I’ve ever seen. Full of the latest tech, from electric blinds to automated lighting systems along with Underfloor heating to both floors. And not only are the internal fittings incredible but the house is solid, with concrete floors upstairs and downstairs, huge driveways, large gardens and just all round a fabulous atmosphere within the development. Totally blown away. A whole new calibre of developers. Hats off to Brookworth Homes
