CDR engineering services did a survey for us when we were purchasing our house. We were given a clear understanding of the process from the onset. The engineer Caulton was very professional and we received the report promptly. They also recommended us builders who renovated our downstairs cloakroom and we were happy with the work. Would definitely use them again!!!

We did not have a good experience using CRD service. It's almost impossible to speak direct to the engenieer CAULTON RHULE, everything has to go through his wife Sue who can be quite difficult at times. We paid £360 for a short visit of 15 minutes and were told to pay another £90 per hour for the report. We had to pay £180 for a two-hour report and received a report with two paragraphs, then I asked for the drawings and they told me I had to pay more for the drawings, but we were not informed about this. We accepted that we had to pay extra for the drawings, then we asked for the report to contain a further information about the remedial works because the builders needed more information about how to work with structure of the roof. We were told by Sue, the engenieer's wife, that it'd be more cost effective if CAULTON RHULE had a word with builders on the phone instead of writting a report. We were gobsmacked that they did not want to give more information in writting after paying £540 for a quick visit and two-paragraphs report. We called them many times to explain the situation on the phone and always received a text message saying or email saying they are busy. Shocking! Sue was very rude!

CDR Engineer project managed and planned out loft conversion. Supplying the builder and great advice on materials at a reasonable price. The whole process was efficient and workmanship very good. We would definitely use them again for other projects.

We couldn't recommend Sue and Caulton highly enough. We chose them based on their Google reviews when we were desperate for a structural engineer in the area and we were not disappointed. They were able to visit the property and turn the report around really quickly and went above and beyond to communicate with us throughout. They were kind, extremely professional and thorough in their investigations. I only wish we had found them sooner. The property they visited for us has fallen through and the one silver lining is that we now know we will be able to call on Sue and Caulton as soon as we find a new property. Ps. I've never written a Google review before!
