Totally worth the stop here. Amazing views, super unique infrastructure and easy walk from the small and free car park by the police station. Careful during the winter as ice will be present.

Fabulous but small landmark albeit quite a way off the ground. Only a short walk the aquaduct actually represents pioneering engineering of the age.
The views are beautiful over the river and along the valley. You can walk further to Llangollen if you wish.

Great place for a little walk along the canal. The other one is closed for maintenance, which is normally more popular until April, so this is a good one to visit for now.

We visited the area for the week, and this was on our list of places to visit. What an engineering marvel! We parked up and walked alone the canel towpath (5 - 10 mins) passing the canel workers cottages. The views from the Aqueduct are amazing, but not for those with a fear of heights. As you walk across the aqueduct, you pass in Wales. If you keep going along the towpath, you can walk in Chirk town. Lovely walk and all on the flat, remember your duck food.
