Not sure where to start with this guys but certainly wouldn’t even give a one star review.

My review here is about the lettings department which you can’t review it on google since is been removed due to several negative comments about their services.

I lived at one of their properties for longer than 4 years and been asked to empty the house because of a puppy that i had to held for some of my friends.

This came without any warning or explanation although yes i do understand and respect that landlords can ask you to go basically anytime considering that we have not signed a new tenancy agreement after the initial one.

However, having a wife pregnant and 2 little kids this became a very difficult process to go through in a short amount of time.
I even offer to pay a fee or a rent increase but they never actually took this in consideration.

Throughout our time with Clayson we constantly had issue with our boiler and always an engineer been sent out that didn’t had a clue what he was doing and every time he needed to comeback.

We eventually left the house, leaving the property in a very clean condition, even took photos at the end of the tenancy to highlight the state of the house.

However, when was to get our deposit back they ve charged us £100 for “cleaning of the kitchen” or oven that was spotless needs cleaning that definitely made me laugh considering having spent 2 hours to make sure is in an immaculate condition which it was.
£100 stair carpet damage that was 5 cm wide with this amount they would definitely replace the whole thing.

What an embarrassing company, strongly NOT recommend.

I am rating this company zero.
This company is so unprofessional and I will say racist. I have rented with them since 2019 and I also had issues with a person in their office called J. very rude individual, hanging up the phone on me when ask for things, that according to her I should have already in the property. Even after explaining to her I am in the middle of packing so I probably packed somewhere I can’t find. Their maintenance guy A. too is always pretending to be there to help but actually does care at all, he is the agency emergency number but never available when you need help. I had issues with my door I was locked in could go out. They have increased my rent and wanted to do it again and when I asked for them to revise it and let us come to a more reasonable price within less than 2 months I was given a section 21. They exploit international nurses who have newly come into the country and charge them expensive rent just for rooms.
All this year I rented with them I always had terrible issues with the boiled even one winter I was without heating and hot water for 3 days.

Lately, all these unprofessional behaviour was witnessed by one of staff member of council when I call to request a copy of some documents to expedite my move.

Do not rent with Clayson they are horrible and do not care about their tenants.

We have rented from Claysons for over six years, but when it came to them trying to increase our rent for the second time in a few months and us refusing to pay the amount they wanted to increase the property for that was way above average rentals in the area we all of a sudden got a eviction notice, they have no loyalty to there long term tenants and only care about getting as much money as possible, upon leaving we left the property in good condition they had been promising to repaint the property for at least a year prior to us leaving they are currently trying to keep all our deposit for any excuse and have advertised the property as immediate available without making almost any of the repairs or redecorating according to the photos on the advert, be very weary when dealing with them also there is a certain person in the office who is very rude and could do with some people skills.
They failed to mention any of the improvements that we made in there final report, in my opinion I would stay well clear of this company.
