We recently had our loft converted by CSW and the experience was great. Communication was super prompt and clear from both Ryan and Fabian. We had Bailey and Mace as our main build crew, and they were awesome. Even with both my husband and me working from home throughout the build, the disruption was minimal. The rest of the team were also fantastic, we have no complaints and would recommend CSW to anyone!

We absolutely love how CSW and the team have transformed our space.

From discussing the plans in great detail with the architect, to tweaks along the way and even complete changes part way through (opted to change our mind and replace the whole roof to get some extra head room), the team were great at understanding what we wanted out of the build, and making it a reality.

All of the trades we had in were incredibly skilled and took pride in their work. The build lasted just over 3 months, so we got very used to having the team around the house, but they were all great and often went the extra mile to cause as little disruption as possible.

The minor snags we picked up at the end were all dealt with immediately, and even when a spotlight stopped working 2 months after they completed, the guys came round to replace it.

Even after your architect has finished their work, the team are more than happy to discuss with you if something isn't quite right, or you have changed your mind along the way, so my advice is to make sure you keep involved and chat to the trades as they build!

CSW recently completed an L-shaped dormer loft conversion to add a bedroom with en suite and office to my Victorian terraced home.

From the start they were clear with cost, plans and timing. Their quote included the architect and building plans as well as the admin and paperwork for building regulations, which all went well.

I had a great team on the project — particularly Tom and Jack on the main build, as well as the other trades including Mike, Zac, Ben, Steve, Andy and Connor, and Harry. All were great to work with, friendly, hardworking, tidy and professional. They were very helpful and answered any questions I had.

Some changes had to be made during the project, and Ryan and Fabian were very reasonable and responsive to my requests. I was particularly impressed with the way CSW worked closely with my solar panel installer — which I had done while the scaffolding was up — to ensure that their work was integrated with and didn’t conflict with CSW’s ongoing work.

The payment plan was really helpful. The cost was as quoted, only going over when I asked for additional work to be done or different spec windows and trim to be installed, for which they promptly provided fair quotations. They even managed to repair a section of the roof and stabilize the chimney brickwork while they were up there.

I am thoroughly pleased with the result and highly recommend CSW for your project.

We engaged CSW to convert our loft space (1930’s semi) involving hip to gable roof and a full width back dormer to create a master bedroom and adjacent bathroom (we decided against an en-suite in order best use wall space in the bedroom). We requested the “tin hat” for the house which was a wise-investment as summer/autumn 2024 wasn’t the best for weather!

The end result is of a high standard, the pricing was competitive, and the build ran to time with some areas being completed earlier than expected. The quote also included the building plans as well as the admin and paperwork for building regulations, which all went well.

Mitch and Fred were an outstanding team, and we were really glad we had them onboard. They dealt with the main part of the conversion and were with us solidly for around 2 months. They are polite, hardworking, and very respectful, a real credit to the company (and themselves). The other trades provided good work quality overall with any snags being fixed in a quick and timely manner.

Initially we felt we would have perhaps liked a little more time with the architect to discuss our ideas and thoughts but ultimately it transpired this wasn’t needed as the design he prepared made fantastic use of the space and we had no follow ups or concerns at all with the design.

Ryan provided great communication throughout with quick responses as well as flexibility in the job such as allowing us to bring in our own electrical team as well as adding other items to the job/quote. In addition, we were made aware of other services that could be provided such as built in wardrobes etc but the team were in no way pushy in this respect and we knew we could reach out for prices etc if needed.

Overall we are delighted with the build and would definitely recommend CSW Lofts to others.
