Absolutely terrible customer service. Agreed to his fee in April 2023 on the understanding he had a 6 month waiting list. This was fine as we were not in a hurry at that time. However, come September it was impossible to get hold him. He never answered the phone. He ignored every email I sent, which was one a week from September to December. I wasn't screaming at him, I was politely asking where I was in his queue so I can make plans with builders. Not a thing. His contempt for his customers is disgusting and it just doesn't happen outside Cornwall. I have since heard he only deals with trades and refuses to talk to the customers who actually pay his fee. His sidekick, Toby, is clearly a chip off the old block because he ignores every phone call and email as well. Avoid these two and find someone who actually answers the phone or replies to emails.

Derek did a survey for me a couple of years ago on an outbuilding which was in need of repair and this was very thorough . The builder followed his Instructions and as a result the job was superb. I thoroughly recommend him. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful

I contacted derek in November 2021 to draw up plans to remove a load bearing wall. He said they will be sent to me in janauary. He didn't advise me a price. But I was willing to pay to get it done. I didn't hear nothing back in January and trying to contact this company is very difficult. No one answers the phone and 0 contact via email. I rang again and finally got through and was advised it will be done asap. And I have still not heard nothing and it is now march 20th. Very poor customer service and very poor communication. Wasted 5 months of renovating my house because of this. Avoid.
