We have worked with Design Haus now for some months following an initial consultation meeting where I outlined our vision for a complete overhaul of our school playground. From the outset, James' enthusiasm for the project has been infectious. Taking on board our ideas, including those from the pupils, James and his team set about making us a fantastic concept board. This board, which is now being used to apply for funding and generate momentum for the project, was carefully constructed with a clear rationale for each section of the design. James and the team have been so approachable throughout the entire process - listening to our concerns and questions and working tirelessly to overcome any barriers we have faced.

We contacted the Design Haus as we were viewing a house we were interested in purchasing & knew that if we were successful with the purchase, we would require the expertise of an architect. James attended the viewing with us, rearranging his own diary to accommodate the only day that viewings were being offered. He gave us so much inspiration on that visit and then subsequently made some enquires regarding planning and the limitations that might be imposed as the house was in a conservation area. We then went on to be successful in securing the property so had a further meeting with James at the Design Haus premises to explain how their truly collaborative process works when assisting us with our house renovation. I have to also mention Esther, the Office Manager, who was extremely helpful and quick to respond throughout this whole process. The only fly in the ointment was that unfortunately the vendor pulled out of the sale and so sadly we will not be able to see our collaboration with James come to light ☹. However if we do secure a property in the future that requires input from an architect, we would have no hesitation whatsoever in using Design Haus Architecture. They have been incredible to work with.

James designed a significant redevelopment to our home which has surpassed our wildest hopes and dreams. The use of technology enables a quick and efficient exploration of different concepts and approaches which allowed us to amend our initial thoughts and create something even better. Following the initial site meetings, a lot was then done remotely which saves time for all sides. James also helped us navigate the frustrating planning process, remaining calm and measured when I was not!
I have and will continue to recommend James to anyone looking for innovative architectural design.

We worked with Design Haus for our small extension and ground floor redesign earlier this year. James was great from the very first meeting. We felt very much at ease and part of the design team. Changes to plans were made as we watched during hour long collaborative design sessions; which were exciting and showed how highly skilled these guys are. This, coupled with their use of Virtual Reality; where you get to walk in your house and feel what it could be like, made the whole experience just brilliant.

We felt that James and the team really cared. They took the time to get to know us which informed some of their design ideas to make them more personal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend (and have done so already!).

His design was beautiful and he captured just we wanted as well as adding ideas and elements we'd never even thought of to make it the best design possible. Right from the initial brief James showed a creative enthusiasm, helpfully suggesting alternatives and giving excellent guidance.
The 3D model James uses gave us a real sense of how the project could look and helped understand the possibilities. With the skill James has with this tool, changes were made and agreed in the consultation.
Faced with a very complicated planning application James liazed with the planning department, Environment agency and submitted a complex and thorough application that was successful on first submission.
