I am giving 4 stars as this review is based purely on the survey as we have had to delay any work that needs doing however based on the professionalism, friendly manner and thorough survey Adrian did for us, I can only say that I would have no reason to think that Dower Damp Proofing would be any less satisfactory in the quality of their work.
Adrian arrived promptly at the arranged time, and was a very pleasant man with a quiet, professional manner. He advised me every step of the way of what was required for him to complete his survey and why; and did a thorough check of all potential problems and causes. He explained how the work required would be carried out, taking the time to make sure that I understood everything before leaving. It was a real pleasure to meet him, especially as we found we had some interests in common!
Adrian is a credit to the company. Thank you Adrian for all your help and advice.

We enlisted Dower Damp Proofing to address persistent damp issues in our chimney stacks.
The agreed-upon work involved removing all existing (slurry) render, repairing and repointing the stacks, followed by a lime render finish. Despite one chimney being in a particularly bad state, Adrian diligently worked through some extremely hot days replacing countless bricks (sorry!!) and repointing to stay on schedule - a superb work ethic.
The final finish, including the lime render and lime wash, was done to a very high standard.

We are thrilled with the results and will certainly engage their services again for other parts of the house that require damp treatment.

We requested a survey from Dower damproofing after a previous attempt to solve our problem had failed due to shoddy work.
Jack came round quickly and did the survey, rapidly identifying the solution and proposing a fix in a comprehensive report. This explained all that was to be done and was costed accordingly.

Several weeks later the team arrived and set to work, I was confident that everyone knew what they were doing (a relief after the last people), special mention to Riley who went above and beyond and was a pleasure to have around.

All works were completed on time and on budget an I would have no hesitation in recommending Dower Damproofing.

I had Dower perform a survey for some damp issues around my home. They provided a comprehensive and helpful survey report and provided detailed proposals for work needed to remedy the issues. The team that carried out the repairs were very courteous and professional. They completed the work on time and to a high standard, dealing with unforeseen problems revealed beneath the plaster, and left the site clean and tidy.
Jack Noon was very helpful throughout and seems like a very honest man to do business with. I would definitely recommend.

Emailed a few days before to say couldn’t carry out the job due to staffing. No postponement, no new date. We had other trades booked around them. No phone call no discussion. Completely disrupted the renovation project and put us back months. Can’t get anyone to answer the phone or even discuss logistics so we could mange other trades on site. Just a mail saying sorry can’t help you. Avoid if you like customer service and reliability.

Edit, the response below is miss leading as I did reach out several times and no one called me back I received an email today from Jack saying “there is nothing I will be able to resolve on the phone “ in response to my request for a call to work out a resolution. Not sure exactly how I’m supposed to reach out directly as the response suggests. As no helpful email response and no phone call accepted or answered
