Spoke to several diamond core drilling companies in the area, but Ben was polite on the phone and explained the process patiently to me. One area was a little elevated but nothing was too much trouble and the team would carry a small platform to enable access.

I was concerned about damage to an outer tile, and also that the hole was lined up properly but Ben explained specialist equipment was used to locate the hole within mm and it could be drilled from the outside to eliminate damage to the brick slips.

On the day, the lads turned up on time on site and were polite and courteous to my tenants.

They used equipment to locate the area to drill from the outside without giving me the added pressure of providing measurements. Chris and Dan were a credit to the company and the job wasn't rushed.

Upon completion, no mess was left - I was amazed to see a vacuum attached to the drill and it was all run from a generator so no need to ask tenants for electric or have cables trailing though doors.

All in all a great experience and I will save the details for the next core or concrete cutting job I have. Thanks guys!
