Earthwise installed an MVHR unit in our home this summer. The process of ordering and planning the installation was smooth, and the dialogue between Ben and Ollie at Earthwise and ourselves was clear and easy to understand. They were very accommodating about discussing the optimal routing of pipes etc. to take into account the best way to do it discreetly within our property, and they talked us through each step in the process clearly.
The installation work itself took 3-4 days and the installer Ollie was very friendly and respectful of our property. We did need to engage the services of a separate contractor to create a couple of holes in our roof for the intake and extract flues for the MVHR.
Once installed we waited about a week and then they came round and commissioned the installation (checking and adjusting the flow rates in each room of the house). After that we were good to go.
The unit itself is pretty quiet when running, with only a very low background noise noticeable (much quieter than the previous extractor fans we had in our bathroom and kitchen). Since having the unit installed we have noticed a pleasant improvement in the indoor air quality, I even notice when I wake up in the morning I feel a bit less stuffy - presumably as the air quality in the bedroom was a bit stale before.
Importantly we've also noticed a dramatic reduction in indoor condensation build up over the winter. This was previously a big issue at the back of the property when the weather was cold outside, and had even lead to condensation on the walls and mould forming behind furniture one winter. I'm pleased to say that so far this winter we've not had any of these issues and this is supported by the fact that the dehumidifier unit we used to run all winter long has only needed to be used occasionally when drying laundry in the house, the rest of the time it is no longer required.
The unit and installation combined cost was not cheap, but as we plan to continue improving the insulation and air-tightness of our property (and as mentioned we previously had an issue with damp forming in the winter) it seems like a very justifiable expense for better, healthier indoor air quality, and as the first big step on our journey to a more efficient, comfortable home.

We had a MVHR system installed into our 1930s house in September 2023 as a part of our attempts to make the place much more eco-friendly. The team were excellent to work with and very helpful. Be aware that it's quite a disruptive process and that you might need to quite a lot of remedial work afterwards, but they were careful to ensure that we knew about this beforehand (see some before and after pictures). The system is working well and we now have really good air quality (verified by a friend with some air quality measuring equipment). Now we just have to do more insulating and airtightness work to get the full benefits...

Retrofitted a whole home MVHR system to a victorian terrace. Great pre and after sales support. Huge improvement in air quality and zero condensation to be seen during our first winter. Part of a wider retrofit project, with plans for active cooling with this system in the future. Polite and professional team who helped us work through the challenges of such a retrofit. Would recommend without hesitation.
