We had our loft conversion done by Econoloft. Our joiners were Danny and Michael,they are very professional,and we are satisfied with the whole job.During the work we requested some additional things to be done and they did everything.There was good communication with the office,they informed us about everything that was done.I don't like that they didn't put the pipes under the floor for the heating,after they finished, two other guys came to do the heating and they cut the floor to run the pipes to the radiator and now when I walk even though we installed insulation and carpet I hear a creaking sound from the floor. When they opened the floor I saw that Danny and Michael they had left a lot of construction debris from below ( pieces of bricks, pieces of wood, bolts and nails ) and I cleaned up what I could.We also don't like that it's very hot in the room in the summer.Maybe the insulation is not good or not enough.I can't live in a room without air conditioning.We also had to wait about 10 months for final documents (building inspection certificate and warranty certificate, etc.) .Overall, we are satisfied with everything they have done. And the most important thing for us now is that we added extra space and the price of our house went up. So the investment is worth it

Having previously submitted a planning application for a double dormer on our bungalow with plans drawn by our architect, we were disappointed with the process of poor communication with the local council & subsequent advice to withdraw the application. We then chose Econoloft to manage the process on our behalf as they offered a total package of design, project management & build. We were given a fair quote for the whole project & were happy with the proposed timeframe of 8-12 weeks with a start date in early summer.
Our original design with Econoloft was to move the existing stairs to the loft room using space from a ground floor bedroom & build one large bedroom with ensuite bathroom & storage. However, when we saw the size of the room, we decided to partition the space to create two bedrooms as well as an ensuite at an additional cost.
Our joiners, Jack & Adam, were very accommodating to any changes we requested & were readily available to address things when there were any problems. They were courteous throughout & tried to ensure the house was left relatively tidy as we were still living on site.
The only issue we found frustrating was that the other trades (electrician, plumber) were subcontracted, which sometimes caused delays on availability & put the project finish date back a few weeks. We have also noticed a couple of remedial works after living in the new build, & understand this is probably due to movement & settling, nothing we can't do ourselves.

We had our loft conversion done about 12 months ago now and it’s made such a difference to our family. We didn’t really know where to start, so the fact that Econoloft arrange everything from plans to tradesmen was very appealing. The process was very straightforward, and we received the plans and quote very quickly. The office staff were also very friendly and prompt in answering any queries we had. The fixed price was also a great help to keep everything on budget. The builders we had were superb and they liased directly with Econoloft so that the process was less stressful for us. The finished master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite is exactly what we asked for!

Excellent & Quality Loft Conversion Experience:

Given how big the loft conversion decision is, we wanted to share our experience to help others make their choice. We were very excited but quite anxious and worried about conducting what is major construction at our property, in converting our loft into a new family space.

Whilst we are sure there is not a perfect company or perfect experience, we feel the process, approach and experience of using Econoloft was exactly what we were and could have hoped for really.

They arranged for visits to recent conversions and we had a fair few visits from Econoloft to talk through the quote and contract. We were impressed with their knowledge and experience and we appreciated their complete understanding that we wanted as little disruption as possible to our day to day life, so they worked hard to give lots of notice to noise and always accessed the loft from the ladders, scaffolding and roof etc and only asked for access to the property when necessary.

We liked the delivery process and phasing of the project stages and payments, as well as advice and access to an site manager who helped resolve any onsite issues.

The quality of the work has been spot on too and they were very flexible and accommodating when I wanted to do some extra work.

It has all come together nicely and a good experience. Happy to recommend Econoloft for loft conversion projects.

Econoloft were fantastic! The company who came to see us first said that our loft would be very hard to do a conversion in, due to the hight of the roof, they said we would have to have a whole new roof fitted costing over 100k for the roof alone. Then Econoloft came along and it was no hassle at all, they just raised the height of our current roof and now we have a lovely new loft with two double bedrooms and a shower room in the roof space. We’re really happy with the quality of the work, the value for money and Lee our foreman kept us up to speed throughout the process. Lastly this conversion has added a significant amount of value to our house given the investment we’ve made, so we’re extremely happy

We used Econoloft for our loft conversion, which we absolutely love. It's the best thing we ever did and we live up there now! As with any addition to your property there were issues, mainly unexpected costs which you would always get in building work, but they were addressed and discussed as they arose. We had a wonderful joiner, who did a brilliant job with his crew. The Econoloft tiler did an exceptional job on the bathroom tiling and we've recommended him several times to other people. From the initial consultation to completion they were professional.

verall we had a great experience with Econoloft. We were looking to expand our 3 bedroom semi as we lacked upstairs living space. The whole process from start to finish was pretty painless, not what I was expecting. What we really liked (which was difficult to obtain from other building companies) was that we had a full written quote, detailing every light, socket, window etc. We felt that we were able to stick to our budget without any nasty surprises waiting around the corner. The build itself started on time and finished ahead of schedule. The workman were fantastic, arrived when they said they would and were extremely professional and couldn't fault their workmanship. We are really happy with the completed loft conversion and would definitely recommend Econoloft to anyone looking to convert their loft space.
