A very individual experience with excellent guides in every room. Lots of in depth history knowledge. The library rooms are stunning. Gardens are lovingly tended. For those visitors wanting to explore Elton and beyond there are very nice walks through farmland and woods direct from the car park. Garden Centre meals are very good quality but remember to book a table in advance of visit at Bosworths.

Very nice house though only half if it is open to the public as the family I've in the other half. Good informative guides in each room tell you about the history. The gardens are beautiful. There is a fabulous garden centre and a wonderful cafe

Worth it on a good day for the gardens alone. These are not huge, but are extremely well detailed. Unusual fountain. Unusual wellhead. The Orangery is the highlight. We then did the 50 minute guided tour of the house.

Hidden inside the trees magnificent Hall. You did not realise how superb it is until entering garden. Modest interiors with full of history information. Gardens are superb. Good place to have a wedding or celebrations or just to visit and do cool Instagram photos

Described as a baronial hall, this.15th century building has seen many architectural alterations over the centuries and now sits in its wonderful gardens looking more like a castle with its crenellations. The house itself is not open frequently so check the website, it would also be advisable to pre book tickets, as it can get busy and entry is by timed ticket. If you are a historic house member you will get in free and there is a discount for RHS members (normal entry is ÂŖ15 , children are free up ti the age of 15) . The house itself is a wonderful mix of styles , with fascinating pieces of furniture, porcelain and some wonderful art. The room guides are knowledgeable and friendly and add to the whole experience. Because the house is still lived in there is no access to some areas such as bedrooms and there is also no photography allowed in the building. The gardens are wonderful, with hidden areas. Planting is beautiful , and the lawns are immaculate. Toilets and cafe are in the adjacent garden centre. Overall a wonderful afternoon out , highly recommended.

A group of us had a prearranged tour of the house and gardens. Our guide Pamela, was personable, friendly and very informative.
I particularly enjoyed the many, wonderful paintings adorning most of the rooms. The gardens were beautiful, and deserved a longer stay than we could give them. Had lunch in the garden centre tea rooms and can thoroughly recommend.

The garden grounds are beautifully maintained and feels so tranquil to be there. The Hall is also really interesting and the staff were really friendly.
