The work was completed on budget and on time. There was no attempt to profit from additional works when we changed the specification mid job. Snagging was attended to promptly. I engaged Emery Building Contractors to carry out some work to my retaining walls and drainage. They attended my house to provide a quote for the works and promised to provide a quote within two weeks. However, after a number of weeks I still had not received the quote. I emailed them and called them on numerous occasions, but they failed to return my calls. Eventually I managed to speak to the person drawing up the quote and was promised the quote would be with me by the end of the week. Two weeks later I still had not received the quote. I tried to calling them again, but again they failed to return my calls. Eventually, I managed to get through to one of the directors who promised to get back to me. I subsequently received an email informing me that they had enough work for a year and no longer wanted to quote for the work. They could have told me this when I first enquired. Instead they wasted 12 weeks of my time and I will have to get a quote from another company now. Appalling service. Avoid.

Didn't get further than a phone call. I described what sort of work I wanted and the person on the phone told me they can't help me. Then said I'd have to find an architect to make a plan. I was asking for a porch and small kitchen extension. Is that not what their company provides? Also whoever it was sounded quite abrupt and unfriendly. Very strange.

Went in person to make an appointment to talk about building a house plans passed and couldn’t make an appointment or even call me back as promised to make very sad and frustrating behave truly unprofessional
