If esh have anything to do with building your home, do NOT buy it.
Problem after problem, not coming out to sort it when they say they will, the people on-site seem to wait until you’ve gone to work to post a “sorry we missed you” and then won’t book an appointment with you so you can arrange leaving work. Windows won’t open, leaks, patio doors not lining up properly so letting horrible drafts in, cutting holes in the ceiling to “fix” problems that they don’t fix and then only partly fix the ceiling and leave you to it, I could go on and on. Awful customer service, awful contractors, awful repairs. Horrendous workmanship, I would never recommend this company.

Bought a property built by Esh. Numerous problems such as gas leaks, aspects of not meeting building regulations in terms of not being able to heat the property (some parts of property cannot be heated above 13 degrees in the winter!), whilst have CCTV footage of Esh contractors behaving like general cowboys - e..g, walking into my house with dirty footwear (despite having raised this) when I have an oak floor. Now the lounge floor is starting to break-up (in some areas, it's actually starting to collapse). They have also colluded with a contractor who installed faulty windows (claimed I melted a metal window using a candle!!!). There are also issues with cladding!

We got in a professional snagger who identified that the property had a gas leak. National Grid came out to investigate and said that the wrong screw had been used (the Esh contractor had used a screw THAT WAS TOO SMALL ON A GAS PIPE and still signed it off.

They built a property without lights on the stairs. The suggested permanent remediation was a cheap battery powered light that lights up when you walk past it. Had to go the NHBC and raise it as a complaint. NHBC found in my favour. Still didn't come up with a solution within the agreed date (of two months!), so NHBC actually had to give me the money and pay for it my favour.

Literally the house was riddled with risks to life and health safety violations.

A few months back, they asked me to rearrange all of my furniture so they could carry out a repair where the lounge flooring has started to collapse (which took from when I finished work at 5pm until 1am in the morning. The next day (after very little sleep), they told me they *forgot* to arrange for the repair to be done. They say forgot, others would suspect deliberate maliciousness given the other issues.

CEO Andy Radcliffe told me someone was going to call me to personally discuss the problems (I think maybe felt guilty when I said I was rearrange every item of property I owned so they could make repairs (which didn't happen) instead of processing that a relative has cancer (I literally received this news and then had to start packing up the house) , but this is just another long list of Esh telling lies. So still a number of problems I am no clearer on.

I also did a subject access request and things were held back and had to go back and request them. Very dishonest company which reflects bad on the North East. Coming from a construction background (family owned construction firm; served in the Royal Engineers), this is absolutely not a good company. They absolutely do not take pride in their work, and clearly see the North East as a cash cow where they can push poor workmanship onto unsuspecting buyers. Ironic to the company and staff members on their personal accounts tweeting about things such as mental healthy when they clearly have no respect for anyone.

Only give one star as have not choice if I want to leave a review or this company wouldnt have got a star at all. This companys advisors when you call are disgustingly rude and do not priorities jobs that have been deemed urgent instead they leave you for almost a week with no facility's. My housing association is temporarilly using this so called company for all their jobs for their tenants and my housing association deemed my job as urgent as recently moved into a flat and had issues with where plug was for my washer which left me unable to push my washer back because once i plugged the washer In the machine wouldn't physically go passed into the alcove as the plug stopped it and also where my fridge freezer was supposed to go couldn't as needed a plugs socket fitted to be able to do so. So because of this I had to put the fridge freezer in the space where my cooker Should be hence my housing association deemed it as urgent as I didn't have any cooking facility or the things that your supposed to be able to have. Now as we all know these things are not a choice it's something we all need in life. Instead they didnt give me an appt for nearly a week but I tried to sort it on the phone and the snotty advisor stated that she did not deem it as urgent and that my housing association "WILL HAVE TO MAKE MY WASHER FIT" even tho id already explain that you physically could not make it got because the plug socket that is currently there when plugged in physically stops the washing machine being able to be pushed back. Not one care or thought was given. Attitude was disgusting and I would not recommend this pittyful company at all. Between esh and my house association I have had hell on trying to get a simple thing sorted which was made to be bigger than it had to be. Esh you should be disgusted and need to teach your staff some decent customer service if you know of it yourself. I would stay clear if you possibly can.

The worst company I've ever come across. The workmanship is appalling, I don't think they have a building tradesman in the company. Please don't let them near your property if you value it.

ESH property services who are building houses in Starling Walk in Sunniside creating a litter problem. As resident and a volunteer for Gateshead Council I normally pick the litter myself every 4 weeks around Sunniside area and probably end filling a one whole bin bag. the current problem of littering from the building site is quit severe last Saturday the 2nd of March i picked two large full bin bags from infront the building site and outside our Hedges. Today there was more litter outside our hedges which will fill at least a whole Bin bag. My neighbours reported the problem to the site manger and he was extremely unhelpful and arguing that the wind is responsible for this and not themselves. The builders responsible for littering/ which is no different from fly tipping. They have to manage their waste after each shift. attached some pictures of the building site with broken fence and litter out side our hedges.
