Recently attended an event at Eyes Meadow. What a perfect place for a picnic, a walk, throw a ball around, or a concert.

The event was Ibiza Classics by Limelight Orchestra and it was truly spectacular. All for the charity Me and Dee, based in Derby.

The meadow is the perfect place for this, well served by transport (internal road) as well as well cared for meadow land.

This place is a credit to Duffield Parish Council.

Absolutely wonderful day out for families, friends, good food, great selection of stalls, crafts, and the Gin Stall The Sacred Ape is an absolute must to visit,ctaste & buy. Just great, thank you Bustlers for coming to Duffield Meadows for 2 amazing days.

Amazing quite placw to walk your dog with a river for them to swim in also. Picnic areas and large grass area to relax 😌 benches all the way round in case you need a rest or to enjoy your surroundings

A rare chance for a riverside walk around the circumference of the large playing fields really well kept up. Intermittent glimpses of a kingfisher through the trees next to the river. Significant growth on brambles, etc, this time of year (June) means plenty of the river is out of view, making it a great haven for nature. The nature reserve is definitely a bonus as we were not previously aware of it being there. Around the playing fields is all short mown grass, the trails through the nature area are made up paths partly to encourage visitors to keep off the wild areas I imagine.

Eyes meadows. A lovely nature reserve. A shallow slow river runs through it. Woodland area. Meadow areas and pond areas keep dogs under control and keep to the paths. A walk around the reserve including going to the playing fields next to it will take about an hour. Walk slowly to enjoy all there is to see and hear. 🌼🌳🌸

The path around could do with some wood chip down or something similar, as it’s a little muddy this time of year . Plenty of of dog waste bins scattered around but unfortunately not everyone picks up after their dogs .
Apart from that a lovely place to walk the dog 🐕
