Amazing service! Jim designed the removal of a load bearing wall, he gave us a quote quickly and arranged a visit at a time and date that suited us. He also explained the drawing and gave advice on applying for building regs.

We contacted Jim to help us with an issue that cropped up when selling our house. Our buyer had queried whether we had planning/building control approval following reroofing our property several months ago and when we spoke with the Council they advised that we would have to make a retrospective application. We had approached a number of surveyors before finding Jim and had either been told they were unable to assist us or had quoted an extortionate figure. Jim came back to us quickly with a very reasonable price and soon after speedily arranged a site visit. Following his assessment, Jim challenged the Councils views that the works required building control approval (which the Council subsequently conceded). We can't thank Jim enough for helping us through this issue as it was a worry that it could hold up our sale. Would highly recommend F J Brown to all!
