Went today with partner and 2 children aged 6 and 11. We was able to go into the enclosure with eagle owls and barn owls while they fly around your head. All of us held a barn owl. Fantastic experience with a donation of £20. Superb.

Amazing sanctuary, run by the amazing Brian who started taking them in and nursing them back to health, and never stopped. He explained how their habitats are being eroded, it was an education on our guided tour. They are not a charity and rely on donations and volunteers; can't think of a better local run place to give to. Visit yourself and spread the word.

I have twice taken my granddaughter, Nevaeh, to see these beautiful creatures and, on both occasions have been enchanted, educated and thrilled by Mr Maxteds' unrelenting enthusiasm and dedication to the cause.

Lack on knowledge about the care needed for these birds, kept in dirty and unsafe enclosures, birds tethered with other birds double their size that could easily kill them not to mention the general condition of the birds, and it is not because they are rescues. This so called "rescue" should be closed down. Do not support this company.
