We had a property that the home report survey had picked up firstly an issue with a small area of woodworm in an attic space and secondly higher than normal levels of moisture to lower level of walls within main living room of our property.
We contacted Brian at Fortress One who meticulously looked in depth to any other areas of note as he checked over the property.
Brian is extremely approachable and very thorough in his work and offers sound advice on potential issues he spots as he works through the property.
He carries & uses all kinds of high tech equipment to find the root cause of any issue highlighted as he surveys the property and will clearly show & explain the results from his data as he works his way through the property.
In our case poor ventilation was identified for the livingroom area and Brian explained his findings during his survey & a few days later gave a very high detailed report on what needed done to eradicate the issue & offered a quotation to repair our problem.
We were also given a detailed report & quotation to treat the small area of woodworm, along with all safety data sheets & data on solutions that would be used for the treatment.

All treatments done by Fortress One have full guarantees.

To summarise Fortress One we found are real professional in their field, offer sound advice with advised solutions and give full advice on preventative ways to solve any minor issues before they even become noteworthy.

We had a very positive experience with Fortress One when we contracted with Brian for front elevation damp treatment back in November 2024. Fortress One had been recommended by our architect. Brian's damp-treatment solutions were thorough, pragmatic and value for money. His quote was neither under-priced (gambling on follow-on joist repairs) nor over-specced. And he's a very good chap as well.

Brian did a fantastic job! I had some serious water damage in a dividing wall which required a lot of renovation, treatment of the floor boards and the wall was then re-plastered. There are many reasons why Brian has got nothing but 5 star reviews - from the very first call (without any sign that we'd necessarily be contracting him) he spent at least half an hour advising us and explaining the ins and outs of dry rot. And that was the tone of our entire experience with him - dedicated, thorough, professional, reliable and unbelievably easy to work with. It was an absolute nightmare to find dry rot with a 10 month old at home but an utter relief to find Brian. Could not recommend him highly enough!
