When we bought a beautiful listed house in Rye in 2011 we knew that we would have to undertake major alterations and repairs. We hoped to find "old-fashioned" builders with old fashioned values in Hastings / East Sussex. The works went out to tender, and George Stone Ltd impressed us from the start of the estimating process with their attention to detail and professionalism. Their estimate was competitive; work started promptly and kept to schedule. Inevitably we encountered unexpected problems but their attitude was always "We have seen this before and can sort it out".

The project, which included an extension, demolition and reconstruction, and renovation, has exceeded our expectations. The contract manager has always been available to deal with any problems and the team on site, as well as the subcontractors, have been friendly, cheerful and excellent craftsmen. We would thoroughly recommend George Stone Ltd.
