We bought our bespoke summer house/shed in 2019 and it really has been a fabulous purchase. From providing a sanctuary during the working day for a quiet coffee, somewhere for a lazy Sunday breakfast, a place for my son and daughter to meet their friends or an amazing outdoor space during the Covid pandemic, we really couldn’t be happier with it. The fact that the shed is hidden at the back is another benefit. Also, five years on, it is still looking great! Many thanks 😃

We had a Gillies and Mackay Summer House erected in our garden 9 years ago. It has been a fantastic addition to our garden and is still going strong ( see red building in photo).

When our old shed needed replacing this year, our first thought was to approach G&M. We have not been disappointed. As soon as we chatted over our plans with Nicola, we knew we wanted them to do the work. Nicola listened to our ideas and translated them into a design we liked. We had a series of helpful email exchanges to arrive at our desired shed. We were pleasantly surprised with how quickly they were able to deliver the shed and delighted that Chris, one of their workshop staff was able to assist with the removal of the old shed and confirmed the site was ready for the new one. The delivery team were on time, were well mannered and hard working and put the shed together very efficiently, leaving the area clean and tidy when they left.

We have been very impressed with the attitude and good communication skills shown by everyone at G&M throughout our contact with them. The workmanship is excellent and we look forward to enjoying the new shed for many years to come.

From start to finish, the Gillies & Mackay team do a sterling job. The website is really easy to use and informative - check out the Buyer's Prep section - and the team are great communicators by phone and email. The G&M team even sorted our planning permission for us which was a huge help. The team that built the garage on site were so professional and the work is to an exceptionally high standard. We would highly recommend.

We bought a Summerhouse in 2015. We replaced a door, roof felt and a couple of wooden dwangs on the roof. Anytime you contact Gillies and Mackay they are really helpful and always go way above and beyond service. Quality building and quality people at good value. Our Summerhouse looks brand new.

We are so happy with our garden room, we bought in April this year, it is our little sanctuary where we can relax and chill out in peace. Gillies&Mackay have been brilliant the build work is professionally done, the electrical people they put you in touch with where also great. After considering various shed suppliers in the area I am so pleased that I decided upon Gillies & Mackay. From my initial discussion with Kieran to installation I was very impressed. The advice given, even before I committed to buy, was streets ahead of that from other competitors and the willingness to conduct a site visit was hugely appreciated, particularly as I wanted the shed jnstalled in a relatively narrow space. Ross was very helpful at the site visit and he and his colleague installed my 12×5 shed on time and with minimal fuss. The end product is a sturdy, well built shed that I am sure will last for many years. The price was highly competitive in view of the build quality including a metal roof, guttering, shelving and thicker more durable wood as standard.

I’m delighted with my potting shed from Gillies & Mackay Ltd. Each stage of the process ensured the successful outcome. I had a consultation at HQ in January to discuss what I was looking for and see the various sheds / options in person. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. A site visit was organised to confirm that the old patio base was going to be suitable for my new potting shed and finally, the build itself went smoothly.
I was able to specify a bench height to suit me (at 5’3” short) so that I’m working at the perfect height. The same with my shelves on the back wall to accommodate the things I want to keep in the potting shed. These details made all the difference.
After care has been excellent too with emails linking to articles on the G&M website to get the best out of my #shedlife and the all important advice on how to take care of my shed in the next few weeks and for the years to come.
I love that the shed is totally constructed out of timber, it smells amazing when you open the door. I chose the Hudson Bay colour, looks fabulous too.
