We had our garden levelled and artificial grass fitted. The company were delayed by 6 weeks and very unreliable, not turning up some days and when they did it wasn’t until 11am. At first, to my untrained eye the finished work appeared good quality (apart from the obvious join of the artificial grass which had a gap and wasn’t stuck down properly but this was ‘fixed’ promptly as we refused payment until it was sorted). Now we are noticing many issues such as sand washing away from underneath the artificial turf due to the sleeper and perimeter frame not being fitted properly, the grass is shedding easily and poor quality, the grass is saturated after rainfall due to poor drainage, the grass is lifting in places and not attached properly, the join is bumping up due to having a wooden batten too high up along the joint, some areas of the turf are not fitted well and there are dips, the sleepers are shifting out of place due to being fitted poorly. This didn’t last a week until problems arose. Complained but no response from company. Also discovered the grass fitted was not what we were quoted for. Company were very pushy about payment. Now having to get quotes for work to be fixed by trusted companies as it’s becoming too unsafe for kids to play on.
