A great family day out especially if you have young children. Well organised and well maintained with a cafe and toilets on site.

Always very friendly place to bring children. Free entry. Only pay for the ride-on train rides.
Sunny days in summer are more popular.
Be warned there is limited parking available and it can be very busy.
Lots of families bring small children to enjoy watching the trains or riding trains.
At weekend open days, there are usually lots of delicious homemade cakes to enjoy. The problem is then too many nice cakes to choose one.
Gala event is held every year. Lots more to see and do.

A fab place to visit and family friendly. Great, friendly staff / volunteers running the scale trains. Lovely greenery and facilities, this really is a perfect place for a sunny day out.
No issue with parking as saw plenty of spaces.
Toilets were clean.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time there! Totally recommend.

Fantastic afternoon out. The volunteers are so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. Very reasonably priced tickets that can be used at future events if you don't use them all on the day. Delicious homemade cakes in the cafe as well. Parking can be tricky so we often park at spectrum and walk up.

A fun, reasonably priced, charming afternoon out for families.

This place is a miniature model creators/ collectors backyard, though slightly more inclined towards model railway and trains.
It has different sizes of model trains and model boats during certain events. It's simply amazing to see the very well laid tracks and locomotives for G scale. It speaks for their passion and commitment towards their trade.
You are able to sit on the G scale model and take a trip around their premises.
Its worth a visit for hobbyists and others who have no clue on these activities as well.

Great afternoon out for parents and toddlers when they open the gates to the public. At all other times it is members only so that the serious business of working on the module trains can be done in peace!? But their work is really quite special and worth a visit when they let everyone else watch them play! Check out their website for open days. There are two ride on train tracks with a variety of trains to pull the passengers around the park. Tickets are only a £1 a ride and you get a lovely souvenir of your visit.

Can't believe that GMES has been here for over 60 years and I never knew it even existed. Great place to bring the kids or visit just on your own. Tea and cake in the club house is not to be missed either.
