You can't actually get amongst the ruins as it is fenced off, but you can see the remains of the old colliery. Small parking area, couple of picnic benches but no other amenities, it's a quick 10 minute stop.

Remains of Haswell colliery winding House, a tribute to the 95 men and boys that lost their lives in an explosion, the low railing has heads on each one , and a small memorial to the lost , seating , small parking area .
