When we first approached Hills + Co about an extension that we wanted to build we thought we had a pretty good rough idea of what we wanted...Scott then completely opened our eyes to a whole range of ideas, making us consider things that we would never even have thought about. In the end we've ended up with our house being transformed far beyond what we ever imagined possible. It's not an overstatement to say that the space has genuinely changed our lives. He was a pleasure to work with too, so it probably goes without saying that we would highly recommend Hills + Co.

The Hills + Co. team bring thoughtful, creative and modern design to a rural project and we've really enjoyed working with them. They were the only architects and interiors company locally that seemed to really engage with what we were looking for and they've brought something special to the extension that we're on the way to completing. The design really captures the views and the attention to detail, right through to the final finishes has really been appreciated. Highly recommended!

When I was looking for an architect to build an extension to an old cottage, I came across Hills & Co. and my attention was drawn to their style of introducing modern elements into traditional buildings by blending nature into the design. As with many old buildings, finding an effective way to heat the house was also an important aspect of the design. Scott and Alex came up with a lot of practical advice and thanks to their expert knowledge and experience we have a good heating plan throughout the house. At the end of the design phrase (i.e.after building control approval), we received the most detailed tender pack, containing everything from the design to structural calculations etc. Our next step is to start the actual building work so we still have a long way to go but by looking back at the design phrase of the project, even if it is more expensive to get a design by an architect it is worth the price to get something very special and unique. If I have another chance to renovate I would like to go back to them for the design and I highly recommend them for anyone who is planning a similar project.
