I went to Howarth timber supplies in Burnley as I were building some balancing frames for the children at Playdor Burnley nursery. They were so helpful! We worked out measurements together; they cut them to size and even helped me with them to the car. The staff were so friendly; chatty and lovely. I even spotted some scrap tyres that I thought the children at the nursery would love, and they even delivered them for us. I would recommend this place!

Excellent, placed online order on Thursday with expected 3-5 working days delivery.

Delivery arrived Friday morning, less then 24 hours later.

Slight confusion of the dimensions of a item, but it was a mistake on website, called the branch to inform them and later on checked website and it has already been corrected.

Overall excellent service.

Awful experience with a total lack of any customer support from the yard staff. No basic manners but lots of ignorance and rudeness. Don't come here if you have at least a slight foreign accent. They will treat you with disrespect. You'll be much better at B&Q.

I had a solid-wood kitchen worktop offcut for which I needed two simple cuts to make shelves. Rang 4 or 5 companies, went to B&Q and none was interested because I didn't get the wood from them even though I was willing to pay £20-£30.
Called here and they asked for just a £5 and did it immediately.
I was so pleased I offered them more but Mick, the guy that did the carrying and the cutting, wouldn't hear of it - "a box of teabags would be nice... we all drink tea here". Duly delivered!
