Wanted to charge £660 to come and take a look at a single column in the kitchen of a house. We are very local and when I said that the visit would probably take less than half an hour and as such I asked whether we got any follow up work for that fee...... they didn't bother to reply.

Not sure how this company got a 5 star review from someone else. They provided the structural calculations for my extension, via email only, with a lot of barely legible scribbles on scanned sheets of paper. When I called them with a question I was answered with disdain and impatience. Now the extension is complete and I have a large crack in the wall below a steel. Called to tell them and ask them to take a look, my call was taken by a lady with attitude who told me they would charge me £540 just to come and look at it. On a property they already did the structural calculations for. What an arrogant and disappointing service.
