We engaged JAS for a complete update of the kitchen and main bathroom in our 1930s house.

As part of the project, JAS also carried out various works to the exterior of the house and updated the hallway flooring, creating a more modern feel as you enter.

Both our kitchen and bathroom were designed and completed to a very high standard. JAS helped us with the visualisation of the project and the selection of high standard materials, which is not something we could have done on our own.

JAS created a bespoke vanity unit in the bathroom, which is a fabulous focal point. Our kitchen layout dictated a more bespoke size of the cabinets which JAS came up with and built for us, creating a lot more room without structurally altering the space. There are beautiful brass accents throughout the bathroom and the kitchen and the colour scheme in both rooms is modern yet timeless.

We lived in the property for the majority of the time and we were impressed with how tidy the site was at the end of each day. If there were unforeseen issues along the way, JAS worked with us to resolve them and managed expectations throughout.

Andrew is always helpful and a great person to work with, our project managers on both phases were very personable and lovely to work with as well. The whole team and every single person JAS engage works to a very high standard.

I have a removals company and we often move things out to storage for them and back in to the properties once the projects are complete so we see the before and after and I can say the quality of their work is nothing short of amazing. We have a very old 17th Century Grade II listed house in Coombe Lane, Bristol. JAS were appointed to build a small extension to our kitchen and fully refurbish our kitchen, pantry and utility rooms. This included new flooring, underfloor heating, upgraded heating system, some structural changes (moving position of doors/stairs etc), new roof lights, new external doors/windows, upgraded electrical works, etc.

JAS works were all of a very high standard, and they were extremely proactive and helpful at all times to provide affordable options and solutions to problems as they arose. Sam and his on site team were extremely professional, keeping the site as clean and secure as possible during the works. Costs for amendments were transparent and always agreed in advance.

JAS co-ordinated the various subcontractors extremely well (kitchen, flooring, heating, electrics, joiner, painters) enabling the project to be completed more or less on time.

I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending JAS to anyone who is seeking a quality service for their extension and/or renovation works.

The project was beset with a few delays and issues along the way, as most are (particularly in the current environment) but JAS were good at communicating what was happening, finding solutions, and keeping us updated on costs. JAS are a well known local family-run building company.

They rennovated our dilapidated house, to a high standard, and (given COVID) they came through in a reasonable time. They also have really good after-service; for example, recently our chimney started to leak; they arranged the scaffolding, and repointed it - now there is no more leak. This was really good of them, as it was just a small job, and most companies would be onto the next big job.

Overall, we find them to be a trustworthy lot; they are straightforward, polite, and they do what they say, which I think is quite rare in the trade. So we would use them again in the future, and we are happy to recommend them!
