We worked with Jeremy to design a significant extension to our family home. We wanted to both modernise and expand it to the size we needed as a growing family, while also being sympathetic to the existing architecture of the house and others on the close, and local planning requirements. Jeremey listened to what wasn't working with original layout and encouraged us to be bold and reconfigure. Moving doors made such a huge difference to the flow of the house. When we bought our current house, we knew it had the potential to be a lovely family home but we had no idea how to achieve this. The1920’s house had been extended at various times throughout its life and the result was a series of odd sized, disjointed spaces that didn’t flow.
We chose to work with Jeremy because, from our very first meeting, we were impressed by his obvious design flair, his enthusiasm for the project and also his practical approach. He provided us with a series of design ideas and then very patiently worked with us to come up with a final design that gave us everything we wanted within the budget.
Thanks to Jeremy’s vision and creativity we now have a beautiful house that suits our family’s needs perfectly.
The whole house is now full of light and every room is a lovely place to be. It feels like the house should always have been designed in this way. Jeremy was also great at thinking about all the small but important details that make the house work so well on a practical level.
We had not undertaken anything like this before, and Jeremy guided us throughout the whole process. He was always on hand to answer any questions or offer advice on anything from selecting a contractor, to kitchen layout and lighting design.

Jeremy’s architectural skills has enabled us to make a complete transformation of our Victorian terrace house. He has created a large modern glass living / dining area but maintained the tradition of the original house so that new and old blend perfectly. We were particularly pleased with how he made use of the centre of the house which can always be a challenge when extending terraced houses. Instead of what can end up dead space we have created really useful utility and washroom areas which added living space in the new extension. A basement conversion created more living space and the open plan glass stairwell Jeremy designed means the basement feels a natural part of the house rather than a converted basement. The basement stairwell has received many compliments from our friends and neighbours.
Jeremy was a real pleasure to work with, coming up with many ideas and iterations to help us visualise and decide on a final version.
Getting planning permission for what we wanted was a challenge and Jeremy had to work hard, providing additional drawings and details to support our application. But in the end we were granted permission for exactly what we wanted which I’m sure would not have been the case without Jeremy’s input.
We chose to project manage the build ourselves and through or builder but Jeremy was always on hand to answer questions, provide guidance and make those detail changes which always come up when undertaking major renovations to an old property. Our project is now just about finished and Jeremy still maintains our relationship and involvement giving us his ideas and input in to all those finishing and decorating details that can have a big impact on achieving the final look we want.
We chose Jeremy after a recommendation from our neighbour and I have no hesitation in recommending him myself. In deed another neighbour is now using his services having seen what he created on our project.

We worked with Jeremy on a large single story rear and side extension after seeing some of his work on other properties. From the initial meeting right through to completion Jeremy was great to work with, suggesting good ideas and explaining why with advantages and disadvantages. Jeremy came up with a number of different proposals and we met a number of times to go through these and come up with a final plan. Jeremy was very patient and always willing to give, guidance and explain different options.

We wanted to manage the build ourselves and Jeremy really helped with suggestions on where to source materials and the type of material. The level of detail on the plans, really helped with this too. A number of the trades people even comment on the great level of detail on the plans, which made their job easier.

We asked Jeremy for suggestions during the build and he was always happy to help. He even designed a wrap around decking area for us, as we couldn’t quite get it right ourselves.

All in all, a great architect with good ideas and very knowledgeable, who is genuinely a nice guy
