He has a wealth of experience (not to mention the best damn 'Brickie' in our 4 counties region) and a fun-loving, easy-going nature. Plus he is fastidious about things being kept tidy, expecting contractors to clear up after their stage in proceedings.

Jon really cares about making each job the best he can achieve, and trying to do so in the most cost-effective manner possible (he'll tell you, bluntly, if he thinks a certain product or process that's been specified is worth it, or unnecessary and a waste of money — suggesting his alternative, and the reasons why).

JJP Building have recently (June 2023) completed a 2 storey extension (shell only) for us, including the installation of a 4m steel beam to open the ground floor to the extension.

This was the first time we have had any major building works however we need not have worried. John was amazing from start to finish in helping us understand the process and what was happening at every stage of the build (even when we were on holiday for parts of it). John has a keen eye for detail and despite a few issues to overcome his need for perfection never waivered.

John and those that worked for him were an absolute blast to deal with throughout the build process and we would not hesitate to use JJP Building again in the future.

Jon worked with us for a big project on our old thatched cottage. Jon was totally hands on throughout and was always passionate about doing the best job possible.
He cares about the quality of his work and often contributed his thoughts and ideas to our design as it developed and we have him to thank for several changes to our design which were a definite improvement to our initial thoughts. He has an eye for detail and never cuts corners.
We are absolutely delighted with the end product which includes a kitchen which looks better than we could possibly have hoped for, a garden and driveway which has the most amazing brickwork involved and a garage conversion & ensuite which are fantastic. All of this work gets commented on by friends and visitors. Every part of our project has exceeded our expectations.

Jon is a builder who sticks to his word, who cares about doing a proper job and is always on hand to discuss ideas and thoughts.

John and team took down an internal load bearing wall, installed a steel beam, boxed it in, took out a door and bricked up the opening to fit a new window, and took out a window and the brickwork beneath to put in a new back door. The quality of workmanship was excellent, I’m very happy to have chosen JJP. John and the guys who work for him are nice people to have around, very friendly and respectful. They made having such major work (eg. We had no real kitchen during the works, and holes in the building, in winter!) all the easier to cope with. John in particular was very helpful, and is just a very nice guy. He spoke to our neighbours on our behalf when the work was going to get particularly noisy, which I greatly appreciated.
I had a quote from another company for the same work, but I trusted JJP to do the work well and do it properly. And they didn’t let me down. I highly recommend them.

Jon has built for us a single story extension to the rear of our property.

Him and his team are very hands on, fast and super efficient, working all the hours god sends. No such thing as finishing early with JJP.
Jon really cares about the work he provides and he also cares about his whole team. He is always on the end of the phone and somehow manages to organise even the impossible.
Our extension was started before and built during the pandemic lockdown, and Jon really took every precaution to enable him to carry on with the building, despite the lack of materials and to comply with social distancing restrictions. Tradesmen working on their own etc, It was basically a super organised job well done, and we couldn’t have been more pleased with his approach.

Jon and his team are flawless with design and advice. He genuinely does care about the final product. He has an excellent eye for details and finishing touches. The brickwork alone is a work of art!

With the lack of building control during the pandemic, Jon made impossible arrangements of materials and photo library of the work process to ensure all regulations are met.
There is no cutting corners with Jon, he takes every project very seriously.

Jon is a ‘proper’ builder with years of experience and we would always recommend JJP to anyone.

Jon was my first choice when deciding on who to go with to do the extension on the back of my house. I saw a number of builders before choosing Jon to do the work. He was the only builder that made me feel confident about doing the work. My house was built in 1844 so there were a number of difficult decisions to be made. He came up with solutions to the problems and made suggestions on how the work and finish could be achieved.
