After years of living in a 'that'll do house', I was a first-time renovator with plans to extend my home but had absolutely no idea of the end-to-end process outside obtaining planning permission (only knew this as lots online about it). JNC Architecture was recommended to me after I found the plans, I had paid for to obtain planning permission were not suitable for builders to quote on.

I was instantly impressed by Charn's professionalism, attention to detail, promptness, and the work she produced met my exceptionally high standards. I liked that Charn brought things to my attention I had not even considered at planning stage as they impacted on costs.

Communication with Charn was easy and vitally clear when I asked questions due to my own misunderstanding of the process and terminology being used.

As well as redraw our plans in much detail, Charn produced a building specification document which was perfect to send out to potential builders to provide consistent quotes and for me as a client to understand what was going to happen, what materials were needed in each room etc.

I would and regularly continue to recommend JNC Architecture to others. I just wish I knew of her sooner to avoid undue costs in the first place.

I was at the end of my tether with my existing architect and neither building control or the builders could progress my rear extension and loft conversion with the lack of technical information provided. I was extremely frustrated with the delays which was costing me time and money, I finally conceded I needed help! I contacted JNC Architecture and spoke to Charn, from the beginning she radiated positivity and met me on site to walk and talk through the issues. Within a very short time on site Charn was able to understand the problems and provided workable solutions within a clear timeframe. I didn't hesitate and appointed her there and then and I have not looked back. In little under six months Charn has secured planning permission on my home, assisted with navigating the complexities of building control and persisted with planning permission for a 2nd loft conversion and structural works on my investment property located within a conservation area in Gillingham. Medway Council seemed set to refuse planning permission but Charn was tenacious and did not give up!! She stood firm, presented supporting heritage reports and provided reasonable adjustments which were accepted and I was granted planning permission. I feel very fortunate to have found Charn she is passionate, creative, knowledgeable, radiates experience, offers workable solutions and is extremely approachable. Charn is easy to contact and responsive to any calls or queries, her fee structure is clear and in my experience has delivered on each stages as agreed. We are proceeding with building control on the investment property and I look forward to working on a 3rd project which will be an extension shortly. I would highly recommend these services Charn is a real gem!!!

Charn came highly recommended to us in the local community and we are so glad we chose her and JNC for designing our extension. Charn was very friendly, helpful and thorough from the outset, taking our detailed ideas and putting them to plan without needing any changes. She assisted us in engaging with planning and a structural engineer, taking added stress off our plate, turning information around very quickly and keeping us in the loop at every stage. Charn was also very knowledgeable on associated costs of the pre-construction phase, which was extremely helpful with our budgeting.

Since completing the design stage, many builders we have approached for quoting our extension have been impressed with the level of detail of the plans and specification produced by Charn.
