James and his team really sorted us out with our bungalow remodel.
Every internal wall came down, along with a rather old & drafty conservatory, before new walls went up, plus a complete new drainage system for our planned en-suite, and a very beautiful, modern, extension went on the back, replacing the Conservatory.
We explained to James that for budgetary reasons we were looking for a build-only finish, and that we would do as much as we could safely and legally, do ourselves to keep costs down, such as building the kitchen, bathroom, laying the UFH pipes etc.. (We are relatively competent DIY-ers).
James was happy work with us on this basis and flexible enough to make this happen within our budget and timescales.

But what really elevated James and his team above the rest, was their help, support and guidance in the work we had chosen to take on ourselves. When it came to the end of their day, and it was time for us to put on our work gloves and do some of the less technical jobs, Rob and Paul would take the time to explain the best way of doing whatever job we had taken on that night/weekend to complete. Just little tips like how best to fit power socket back boxes, ready for the electrician or recommendations on which tools to buy, followed up with a quick demo of how to use them safely.
It was clear that they really wanted us to do a good job and by the time their job was done, it felt like we were saying goodbye to friends.

Our dog is also a big fan, and still gets supper excited whenever she sees one of the JRB vans around town.

James and the crew at JRB recently built an extension, knocked through two existing walls, and fitted a dream kitchen to create the most fantastic open plan kitchen / diner with large bi-fold doors.

The schedule was expedited somewhat when our newborn arrived 5 weeks early - but the team just took that in their stride. Even going the extra mile by ensuring the house was spotless, warm, and welcomed us home with flowers, bunting and a card signed by the crew.

From my perspective the whole process was a breeze. James worked with the local building authority to ensure inspections were performed when required, and organised additional trades to be on site when needed. Keeping me informed from start to finish with regular updates - not hesitating to ask questions around personal preference.

The work ethic of the team is second to none, very prompt every morning and often working into the evenings when required. It felt like the team became part of the family during their time on the house.

We're already eyeing up a garage conversion - JRB will be firm of choice without a doubt.

Absolutely cannot recommend JRB enough, top work guys!

We met James at a low point in our build, having experienced 10 months of hard work and frustration, and having very little to show for it.

James was, and continues to be, brilliant! He discussed our plans with us at length and gave us his honest opinion based on our needs and budget. He gave a clear estimate and left us in no doubt of what to expect. His levels of communication are second to none. If he can’t pick up there and then he will return a call, text or email in a timely and positive manner.

Every member of the team has been a pleasure to deal with. They listen carefully to our wants and adopt any ideas we have. They also offer their own ideas based on their specialist opinions (and this had been greatly appreciated and definitely enhanced our build!).

Having recently completed the first stage of our project with JRB, we can confidently say they have secured customers for life. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

JRB renovated the steps leading up to our house which involved replacing brickwork, laying new slabs etc. Communication was very good, they responded quickly to questions and were always on time and all members of staff were very pleasant to deal with.
