Turning into a nightmare! Build quality from the start has been absolutely disgraceful. 2 days before our move in date, we had our home demo. We needed a sink moved that was visibly in the wrong place (almost touching the toilet), 2 window frames rebuilt (one was 46mm out of square) along with another 92 snags. They fixed these to a very average standard and it delayed our move in date by 5 weeks.
Since then, we have lived in the house for 8 months, there’s barely a square wall in the whole house. In a world or laser levels that’s just pure laziness. An upstairs handrail has come completely apart leaving the stairs unsafe for two children. Was fixed with a single screw which is so amateur it’s scary. Various patches of bubbled paint caused by damp repaired and now the cause of this has been made obvious when tiles fell from the roof, bringing the guttering and drain pipe with them. Full roof tiles from a 3 story house. Luckily nobody was in the garden at the time. Been waiting for a week with a large hole in my roof and have been assured somebody was coming yesterday and then today and now Monday. Feel like we’re banging our heads against a wall. Just expected to live with a hole in the roof of an 8 month old house. The inside of the house looks years old due to “settling”, all the skirting sealant has cracked and the quality of paint they use is awful. Have so many rough paint patches and various cracks starting to appear on our walls. Don’t know what else to do.
