Entrusting one's hard earned savings to a building contractor is an endeavour fraught with anxiety and fear. Much of that anxiety started to dissipate the very first time I met Klis. Unassuming, professional, and approachable - he was easy to engage on what we wanted for our project (a somewhat unconventional loft conversion where we were looking to move our living accommodation to the loft), and answered my questions thoroughly, and with a sense of quiet confidence. His quote, although by no means the cheapest, was certainly not the most expensive (and by quite some margin). But it wasn't until the work was underway did I realise what good value for money it was. Klis and his team are a ridiculously hardworking bunch, but it really is their friendly demeanour, professionalism, and attention to detail that really are their standout features. They have diligently worked to see this project to a finish, and done it with a high attention to detail. At some point, we had some issues with the darned Land Registry which put the project at risk, but Klis was so supportive and understanding through it - working with us to find a sensible way forward. I have also been a rather demanding client (3 years of advance planning did mean I had very specific requirements!), and this team has delivered well to the brief. As in any large project, there have been moments of miscommunication etc - but frankly, the litmus test always is how an issue gets resolved, and that has been this firm's - and Klis' - strongest suit. I set out to find a building company, and ended up with some new friends and a swanky new pad. What's not to like!?! Recommend highly.

We chose Klisman and team to undertake the work on our loft conversion and are really pleased we did.

Even before we’d started and working through paperwork it was clear we were working as a partnership. He met with us to discuss our plans and completed a risk assessment, schedule of works and other paperwork required by the surveyor.

When we were finally ready to get going it all went smoothly. It became a pleasure to see Klisman and team in the mornings. The guys all work extremely hard to complete the job in time. They never seemed to mind us being curious as to what was going on or to explain what was happening.

Klisman’s workmanship, skill and attention to detail is second to none; just as an example when the roof was opened up we went up to turn a radiator off so we weren’t heating the world and found it already done. Lines have been made straight where they could be and we’ve really appreciated the care taken over the painting. The plumber, tiler and electrician all did a great job. The end result is stunning, particularly the plastering, and we are really pleased with it.

Finally, Klisman always told us ahead of time when certain products needed to be purchased as the job progressed to make sure we stayed on schedule. Any issues that came up Klisman solved, such as building around a chimney we hadn’t accounted for.

I would have given 6 stars if it was possible as we could not have been happier. Klisman said we wouldn't be disappointed with their work (building an extension) and he was 100% right. From the outset our experience was really positive. He responded to my enquiry very promptly (even though he was abroad at the time), and things progressed quickly. His quote was competitive. He recommended an architect, who was excellent, and he in turn recommended a structural engineer and building control. Klisman's team were brilliant - punctual, hard working, and very friendly. They were clean and tidy, even pressure washing our patio when they finished, so it looks better than before they started. Klisman kept us in touch with every aspect of the build even when we were abroad for a couple of weeks. We are really impressed with the quality of their work and we're so pleased with the final outcome. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They they are a class apart and I wouldn't use anyone else now.

I would thoroughly recommend Klis and his team - very impressed from start to finish. They knocked through an old load bearing wall, opened up our living/kitchen area of our old 1960's kitchen, installed new roof and skylights and completely transformed the space.
We had a number of quotes/discussions with other builders, and from the start I found Klis the most responsive, reliable, prompt and trustworthy. He took the time to talk us through our options, and we could rely on the recommendations. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Klis and his team.
