Purchased a Lindum Homes house in April '16. The estate is well designed and the selection of external materials across the site are of a good quality. The layout of the house itself is good and the gardens are of a decent size. The only thing lacking in my house in particular is the number of electrical sockets, however our purchase was at too late a stage in the construction process to be rectified. Minor defects are dealt with in a prompt and accommodating matter. Will definitely be considering Lindum Homes for a future house.

We have recently bought a house from Lindum and are pleased to say that this has been a superb experience from start to finish. We didn't think of ourselves as new build people, and would never contemplate buying from a company like Persimmon, but we were attracted to one Lindum design in particular, hence our initial contact. Some due diligence combined with gut feeling suggested buying from Lindum would be fine. It turned out to be much better than fine.

At every stage of the transaction the various people we've dealt with have been professional, helpful and reliable, without exception. Here are just a few examples that spring to mind that represent our experience:

Our choice of tiling in one room was specified not to include any of the edging trim options. Weeks later when the tiler was on site he called the sales office to check if we might want the edging trim as in his opinion the beveled tile edge looked better with it. The sales office called me then reported back. We took his advice and it was the correct decision. It would have been very easy for them not to bother and to have stuck to our spec, but they do care and do make the effort.

A similar example, we wanted to upgrade to an induction hob, but weren't overly keen on the standard IH option. They confirmed we can choose anything on the market, so we did. The sales office later came back to confirm that whilst that was fine, being a plug in hob it would be limited if all rings were used at once, and the power would be restricted. Good point, so we changed to a hard-wired option. Checking points like this seems to come naturally to them, and it all makes a difference.

The predicted build completion date from quite a way out was August 23rd. We collected the keys on August 23rd. This made planning our sale and other matters much easier than it could have been.

As we were moving from far away, Julie in the show home kindly offered to take photos of the build on several occasions as it neared completion, allowing us to be more involved. Julie emailed loads of photos, each one received eagerly and gratefully.

Inevitably with a new house there will be a snag list. Ours was limited and all points were addressed quickly and fairly.

Summary: great house, ability to spec just about everything, smooth transaction.

Having recently purchased a new house at their Garrett Rise development in Heighington, I have to say we are really pleased with the quality of our new home! In particular, the specification included within the price is so much higher than other competitors! The development itself has obviously been carefully planned, being low density with a large area of green space, whilst mix of materials really compliments the house designs. All in all a great place to live!

Love our Shrewsbury House at Lindum's Saxilby. Been in property business for many years and cannot fault the build. Great touches in design - false chimneys, cream windows etc.
All staff very helpful, Phil Dudding MD, Mark Foster MD, Rebecca Hurst-Miller and the staff in Customer care. Julie in sales is excellent, nothing too much trouble. Any problems are soon resolved.

If you are a single woman do never buy a house from these lot. They offer you a 2 year warranty but will not repair anything. The plumbing is of a dreadful standard (Newell Plumbing) in particular, I had them back more than once about problems, but they did nothing. The couple next door had everything done and much more. This company is corrupt.
