Excellent experience. Lingwood Designs supported us with our extension from design concept through to the completion of the build. At the outset, Katie spent time with us to explore how we use our space and what we wanted to achieve from the redesign. She guided us through all we needed to know about the build process and even made trustworthy trade recommendations.

Lingwood Design were very professional, responsive and patient throughout the entire project. Katie supported us through the planning application process and dealt directly with the planning office on our behalf. It was evident that Lingwood Design knew the tolerances of local planning and building control departments, which aided a smooth permissions process. The design team suggested ideas, identified potential issues and also presented solutions, without detriment to our overall design. The environmental impacts were considered at every stage, whilst remaining practical and maintaining a modern aesthetic.

As it was a substantial build project, keeping to a budget was important to us. Katie drew up a couple of different designs which each reflected various budget ranges. The team have an exceptional depth of knowledge. The structural calculations were perfect, meaning that we mitigated additional costs.

We are 4 years on from completion now and can honestly say we wouldn’t change any aspect of the house and have no regrets. We would thoroughly recommend Lingwood Designs, a huge thank you for helping us make our house a home.

We are absolutely thrilled with Katie's plans, ideas, and project management of our downstairs refurbishment and back extension. Her design was forward thinking, she made a lot of suggestions (e.g., how to bring in luminosity, design to bring privacy when on the patio, green roof, lovely brick work for internal wall), and helped us think through what we wanted to achieve and how we would use the space.
