This is a continua from the previous review:

3rd red flag (12/07/2024): After foundations were dug, and first level bricks laid to DPC level, we expected to have the floor concreted as we’d seen with other extensions, but it was never done. We raised our concerns but he brushed it off saying “it will be done later”, and he proceeded to start carrying up the block walls.

When it came time for roofing there were Several complaints from Northamptonshire building control team as the rafters he used were different sizes compared to the structural engineer drawings. This resulted in the timber battens being doubled to meet up with the structural drawings.
Despite the building control instructions. His workers proceeded to put the insulation between the rafters instead of ontop of the roof before covering with ply as it should be. When he was confronted about this, he kept speaking over the BC inspector

4th red flag: (09/08/2024) At this point we made the final payment of £9,000 to complete the total payment of £56,000. But we hadn’t seen the steel beams. When we asked before making the payment, he said he had ordered them, and will be delivered the following week of August 14. We waited for two weeks and he kept giving one story after the next. When we asked for proof that the steel beams had been ordered, he sent us a fake receipt from “The Steel Team” to show that he had ordered the steel beams. We rang The Steel team to check the receipt, and it was a fake. He had never ordered them. He sent us fake receipts for steel beams and roof lights from “Reflex Elite”

Looking back, the new builder we got, told us we should’ve known he was a cowboy because how was he planning to install the steel beams when the concrete floor hadn’t been done? This is because the machines used to lift the steel beams into position, need to be placed on a flat concrete floor.

When we asked for the job to be completed as per the schedule he had laid out for £56,000, he proceeded to ask us for an extra £16,000. Saying once we pay more, he will bring the steel beams and do the concrete floor and roof.

There was no way we would pay more money when he hadn’t completed the initial work which was originally paid for. He left out the : Manhole relocation, extension flat roof, steel beams and columns and concrete floor.

I am writing this review on September 13 2024.
Building control have asked for the foundations to be exposed as there is a possibility that LWL group, Lewis Rikky Wilshire and his group of cowboys never filled up the foundation correctly and may have used substitute material at the bottom before filling the top with concrete.

We have been asked by building control to get our structural engineer to inspect the job done and produce a report certifying that the foundation is secure and the walls are up to par.

We are taking proceedings to court and although this may take a long time, please BEWARE, Never ever allow this company to touch your property or you will regret it just like we have.
In your first interaction with this company, you will realise Lewis Rikky Wilshire changes his words like the British weather. Always giving one excuse after the other.

Please AVOID BECAUSE THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!

I would give 0 stars if I could.
Please avoid this company at all costs. A bunch of cowboys posing to have experience in construction but have no clue in anything.

-1st red flag(26/06/2024): We asked for a contract but he insisted we never needed one. He wanted all monies paid to his personal account but our bank refused to let the money go unless it was going into a company bank account.

- 2nd red flag (05/07/2024): He told us we didn’t need to contact Anglian water when relocating a manhole, as Anglian water were only after money and we could move the manhole without informing them. Building control comes in for inspection and proceeds to ask us for the build over agreement. We were in shock and told them, the builder said we didn’t need one. We call Anglian Water to check the new manhole he and his bunch of cowboys claim to have moved, but it turns out, they just dug a hole outside the footprint of the extension and fitted the plastic drainage chamber into it, the old clay pipes were never touched or moved. Despite us complaining about the nature of the job, but he kept saying he has experience and has done it so many times. When the Anglian water engineer rang him, he kept speaking over them telling them he had done the job correctly despite not even being on site to see the job.

All Lewis Rikky Wilshire cares about is money.
He collected £56,000 from us for part of an extension, set out a work schedule with payments every week. We kept payments consistent but no work was being done.
He only ever visited the site twice and when we complained, he said he has people working for him and doesn’t need to be there. The neighbours even told us the builders came at 9am and left at 2pm everyday. Unfortunately for us, we weren’t living in the property as it was being extended.

As this is our first home and renovation project, we had no clue until it was too late.
