I have been coming to this fantastic sawmill since the late 70's. It is the only place to go for high quality hardwoods, even higher quality advice, firstly from Mike and now two generations later Max and Corin. Last piece of advice given by the duo related to the stack of Oak for my double gates where to load it in / on the 'Anthracite Tractor' (Volvo XC60) Thank you both

Absolutely great to deal with. I have bought kiln dried oak from them over a number of years specifically for memorials for green burial sites. The wood has to be brilliant quality, exciting carve lettering and relief carvings in and just the right size for designs. Not only have they always got me the Oak as required but also they’ve been very helpful when I’ve asked for advice ( I usually work in stone so their knowledge is invaluable)

These guys are at the top of their game! If you are looking people who know about wood go no further. We searched high and low for an interesting piece of wood for our kitchen breakfast bar. Max came up with a beautiful old piece of yew, full of charecter, that Richard sandblasted, filled, oiled and polished. It looks stunning. Many thanks all.

I bought the wood to rebuild the balcony on my house. Max was very helpful and advised using sapele. The quality of the wood was excellent, it was all very well milled and the price was a lot cheaper than the other places I had tried.

This is the very best sawmill I,ve ever come across. Huge stocks of most hardwoods, but in particular Oak and more skills in how to machine/use it than you can shake a stick at. Ultra friendly and supportive. Searching anywhere else is a complete waste of time, this is the place and Max is the man! CB
