Upon considering the purchase of a house which was going to be a "project" Anna gave me such sound advice on an extension, access from the road and landscaping the gardens. She gave me access to previous planning applications and was super efficient, supportive and knowledgeable. Many thanks Anna, without doubt my first port of call for any future projects.

Anna at Manning Holden Architects has provided an excellent level of service throughout the whole project. Anna listened to the initial project brief I had in mind for my residential property refurbishment and made positive alternative suggestions where issues could possibly arise or would not meet planning requirements. She was knowledgeable about specialist planning requirements associated with properties located in the Peak District National Park. All planning applications were completed on my behalf and were passed without issue. Some minor amendments to the planning application were required during the project and these were submitted well within any deadlines and I was kept informed of the progress in a timely manner. The planning drawings were to a very high standard allowing the building work to commence without issue. I would have no hesitation in recommending Manning Holden Architects to anyone considering using their services.

Anna has taken us on the journey for our extension, from a few initial concepts, through planning approvals and on to building regs drawings and has been fantastic throughout. Always quick to respond and happy adapt the design as things developed. We've met a few of the builders Anna works with regularly and would also highly recommend them as a complete team. Hopefully we'll get the build off the ground one day so we can see the fruits of Anna's efforts!

Anna listened to our requirements really carefully and came up with a beautiful plan. We went from a 3 bedroomed, one bathroom house with a tight staircase in the middle of the house, to one with two bathrooms, a completely new stairwell extension and large utility area with extra loo. Anna also provided us with plans to convert above the large double garage, which we’ve been living in since the start of the house conversion. We’re not quite finished yet, but it’s absolutely stunning.

Anna’s sage advice and guidance at the start of the project meant that planning was granted very quickly - not bad for a 1760s farm worker’s cottage in the Derbyshire Dales.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Anna and we would thoroughly recommend her.

Manning Holden architects were/are a pleasure to deal with. I spoke to a few architects when we were looking for help designing an extension and house layout redesign and Anna was by far the most responsive and certainly made us think about things. We went through a number of initial designs before narrowing them down to fit in with our requirements and budget. Anna did all the drawings and submitted our plans to The Peak Park planning team, and we had planning approval with the minimum of fuss. Would highly recommend Manning Holden.

Anna and the team were great throughout the whole process. It was our first project / extension (not that any other are planned!) and from day 1 the advice and support was first rate. We were impressed by Anna's website and made contact via email. She responded quickly to our enquiry, and even though lockdown made things slightly tricky we were quickly able to arrange an initial meeting. Throughout the process we really enjoyed working with Anna. We were impressed by her ability to really listen to our needs and yet offer a creative response to the challenges of extending in a sensitive site, which would definitely enhance our home. We loved her final design options which showed she had really understood our requirements and our design preferences. We would certainly engage Anna again for any future architectural projects.
