We booked Marsden Damp Services to come and do a damp survey at our home. Response time was excellent and the service was second to none. Instead of continuing to worry about what issues we may or may not have, Neil was able to provide us with all the information we needed to make an informed decision about what to do moving forward. Lots of valuable advice received on how to prevent any more issues in the future too. I honestly cannot recommend this service enough. We will definitely continue to use Marsden Damp Services in the future.

EDITED - Thank you for your response and I am grateful for the remedial and additional work but it has been a catalogue of errors over a significant period. The last message from Neil was on 12th April asking for my availability the following week. I responded to this immediately and followed up on Wednesday 17th April but had no response. I am sorry but there comes a time just to write off the experience and walk away.
It's so sad to see such a long-established business being mis-managed down the drain. A job which "could go into three days" remains unfinished six weeks later. In fairness I must say that the final finish of the plastering isn't too bad although there are still issues but it really shouldn't have taken two attempts. Communication is bad and actually getting workman on site was not easy even though I was told that most of the work they do is for Gentoo so it is easy to rearrange at my convenience. However, they did manage to send an invoice before the workmen left site, it was incorrect of course. The first, shockingly bad attempt at plastering was, pretty much, rectified but the ancillary work is beyond belief. Sockets were replaced where the skirting board should have gone, they weren't level, the radiator fittings were cross threaded before being tightened resulting in a huge leak which they were aware of but didn't bother to tell me. I could go on but the words that spring to mind range from disappointing to incompetent and in some cases just dishonest.

Really can’t fault the service - came out to do a survey after another company quoted for works we did not believe were required. Marsden damp carried out a through survey and advised no works needed other than simple patch repair. Really appreciate their honesty and would recommend to anyone

We had a significant problem in an alcove area of our house that required re plastering a wall, repairing floor joists and replacing floorboards. Neil and his staff were very professional, respectful and efficient. Would recommend this company and would definitely use again.

We’ve had damp issues for around 12 months, we’ve been trying to point out the problems to our Housing association but got no where,they kept making excuses and passing the blame onto us. Neil came out and identified why we were getting damp and black mould, found that the ventilation was not working properly and that extra ventilation needed to be installed. Within 3 weeks of Neil’s report we have now got a number of jobs booked in with the Housing association to get the current ventilation up to standard and the extra ventilation installed. Great service from start to finish, can’t thank Neil and Marsden Damp Services enough.

Have had work done with Marsden before and always been very happy with the quality and customer service. Had Neil out this week to look at a patch of what I suspected was rising damp. Was fully expecting to be told there was significant work required however Neil was able to put my mind at rest and provide sensible (and cost-effective!) advice. He also waived the assessment fee on the grounds it didn't take him very long, which was unexpected and most appreciated! Thanks again Neil.

I was really impressed with how helpful and informative they were. Despite being advised by other damp companies to have a full damp treatment for the whole bottom floor, they recommended that no remedial work was needed at this time. I would highly recommend them because they won't advise you to pay for costly treatment if it's not necessary.

I messaged Marsden damp as we have experienced black mould in our property for ages . They came out and i would recommend this company to anyone needed advice any work done to help black mould to be gone . 10 out of 10 amazing service I am so happy from start to finish.
