Well, what can I say? We’ve just had a BIG extension added to our house. We used the architectural firm, MB Architecture, to draw up the designs and oversee everything.
Firstly, we were delighted with Matt’s ideas, his concepts and design. I love the skylight over our new open-plan kitchen and dining area and the big doors opening to the garden. The whole house is now light, bright and airy and the state of the art under-floor heating makes it permanently warm and cosy.
But that’s not all. MB Architecture were totally involved, responsive and in sync with the contractor throughout the project; they kept track of everything and were always on hand to answer any questions we might have had. They were NOT expensive, the build went smoothly and according to plan, within budget, and completion was on time. I’m now busy recommending them to everyone I know.
We’ll certainly be using MB Architecture next time round.

Arrogant, incompetent, very poor at communicating once you have made the initial payment. Never stick to agreed timeline and MB Architects missed all three important deadlines within the first couple of months on hiring them and delayed my build project by several months. The work completed didn’t meet building regulation standards and had to be completely redone. I even had to threaten them with legal action to get CAD drawings released to my structural engineer. Very poor value for money and as a Chartered Civil Engineer I would not recommend them at all. Steer well clear of these cowboy architects. Even had the nerve to tell me they had gone above and beyond when I complained about their lack of performance and very poor delivery. Matt’s response below is a complete lie. Scope was not completed ahead of time, it was four weeks late. When the drawings were finally handed over and checked it showed that the design didn’t meet building regulations and had to be completely redone. Also the fact that Matt still thinks he has a fantastic reputation just shows how arrogant he is.

We instructed MB for a planning need within our business, we received 3 quotes and MB represented the best value for money and were the most responsive in providing the quote and meeting us to ensure they fully understood our needs. I have only given one star as I can't give zero stars. After their initial charm offensive they stopped returning calls and email replies were always late and trying to get us to sign up for more work. All the work they did was very poor and had to be done again by others. We even asked for our money back we were so disappointed with the level and quality service. We lost both time and money and would never recommend them to anyone. Zero Stars.
From the response below, which is completely untrue as it took them over a month to get any drawings done, it seems that they are sexist and misogynistic too, not allowing me to have my own opinion because I have a husband.

Great support from Matt and the team at MB Architecture in planning our project. Very clear guidance and support throughout the process, from initial meetings, development of drawings and submission of plans. A great experience working with MB Architecture. Whilst we had a relatively simple idea of an extension to our house, the MB team came up with some bigger and better design options. Despite being located in a Green Belt we managed to get planning! Great result!
