Charged 120 to check my shower for leaks. Told me definitely no leak. Live in retirement flat the management company have now proved there is a leak and it's going into the flat downstairs. What a rubbish service. Unfortunately cant give a 0 rating.

Arranged for a visit at 12 noon. No one came. Called and messaged several times. No reply. Finally got through to speak to someone at 9pm.He seemed confused and said that I was out of the country with friends the previous day when I was at work! Very strange. Luckily someone else came .

Can’t leave a no stars review unfortunately. Took my last days holiday from work to have them replace my security light. Confirmation rcvd that they would be here between 8.30-9.30. Never turned up. Waited all day till around 3pm. No word from them. Guess the job wasn’t worth their effort as just a small job, but lots more electrical work and plumbing to be done in my house after the holidays. I will not be contacting them now to do this. Disgusting company.

Andrew came round and serviced our boiler but did not receive any confirmation this has been done like receipt or certificate to show boiler has been serviced. 2 weeks later and still chasing this up

Fabulous people! Messaged asking if they could sort a wall light out for me, they supplied the light and fitted it which saved me the job of messing around finding one, also helped out with odd little bits I was struggling to do myself like putting a socket back in its rightful place. Friendly and turned up when they said they would. Normally get worried about people being in my house but felt none of that with this company. Very happy customer and a one that will be returning! Thank you

These were called out via Emergency Hero after a power outage in my home. Liam came out, took one look at my circuit board, told me it had failed, quoted nearly £3,000 for a new one and bonding and when I told him I didn't have that kind of money, he simply said he would put the board back together and charged me £150 leaving me with no electric. I asked if there was a temporary fix and he said no.
Later the same day, another independent engineer came out and did what Liam should have done but didn't. I now have electric because the problem wasn't my circuit board but the kettle.
I have complained and asked for my money back and was told tough luck! And take it further then pet. How dare they!!

Lost power in my garage which is separate to my house. These guys came out and advised the armoured cable that runs from my house to the garage is damaged and would need to be replaced. £3600 to do this. Literally run a new cable from my house to the garage. Not dig up and replace. Install a new one from rooftop to rooftop. The fact that he repeated the quote 3 times £3600 after a 10 minute survey is baffling. I asked for an itemised invoice to understand how he arrived at £3600.
Guess what, still waiting.
Since had a quote for £300.
Also tried to tell me I needed a new fuse box. £120 for 20 min work he charged as well.
Absolute cowboys. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Only gave one star as there’s no option to give zero.

Can not recommend liam from mccarthy and sons enough. After having a major leak in my bathroom that has caused extensive damage, and caused problems with the electrics. Liam came out within an hour of calling, repaired the problem and got my electrics up and running again! Thank you so Much, would 100% recommend and use again! Thank you Thank you Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
