From first approaching Michael in relation to the plot we were interested in the communication, eye for detail and passion for the high quality design specification was obvious. Nothing was too much trouble for Michael who listened to my ideas with such positivity and interest. The workmanship and standard of fixtures and fittings is second to none. Michael’s team are highly skilled in their craft and the finish is immaculate; nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend, we are delighted with our home.

MH Stainton converted a barn for us over 20 years ago and we have become friends ever since. They build the best quality of property in the area and nothing is too much trouble. We also had an extension on our property 10 years ago and without the help from MH Stainton then the planning department would not have granted permission.

Myself and my partner tried to buy a house off Michael Stainton. We ended up increasing our offer 3 times, the 2nd offer was at ‘asking price’ and the 3rd offer was over and above what was originally the ‘asking price’. We were in a strong position to buy the property. After our final offer on a Saturday afternoon, we were told to wait until the end of the week for a response (very unprofessional in our opinion, and a highly stressful wait for us). Michael made it clear he was a firm believer that these houses would sell themselves and he most definitely did not need an estate agent. On Thursday afternoon, after hearing nothing, we noticed the house we had offered on re-advertised on their social media. Really disheartening after hearing absolutely nothing. After a full week’s wait, I eventually had to call the office on Friday afternoon at 4pm to ask if they had come to a decision. Mortified to hear that they had now had estate agents around to re-value the house and have increased the price of the property by 50k. Honestly, I actually didn’t have words on the phone, I was utterly gobsmacked with the experience. These guys think they are really big fish, but forget that they’re in a tiny, tiny pond. Despite my bitterness after communicating with MH Stainton, I’d say the house and architecture looks to be spectacular, but interiors - and internal CGI’s are very 2002. They weren’t willing to hear this or adapt, so potentially a blessing in disguise, as I presume it would’ve been painful completing the project to a standard internally that matched the exterior. For the final touch, to add a cherry on top to this experience, I received an email requesting the sales pack/brochure to be returned via post at my inconvenience ?

Working with MH Stainton Ltd has indeed been an experience. We rent a retail unit within a larger corner building in Alderley Edge which our landlord wished to renovate converting the floor above us into two floors of luxury flats. We have found that although the site manager was at all times very courteous and seemed to be very apologetic for mistakes made by the staff he managed, the mistakes seemed to keep happening. To this day we are still having trouble with works preformed by MH Stainton Ltd and by extension the contractors they used to preform certain jobs. We have experienced problems with the wiring, the plumbing, water integrity (flooding) to name just a few. Communicating with Staintons has been a task on its own, taking six weeks at one time to respond to an email, we are at this time still waiting for them to respond to an email sent two weeks ago asking for an urgent response to a leak from the water mains pipe they had previously attempted to repair (since dealt with by an emergency plumber at no small expense). Simply put we would not recommend their services based upon our experience.

I have seen the finished product time and time again. It is no wonder they win all these awards. Stainton's don't do lager but is they did it would be a lot better than Carlsberge .

Nice taste but how is it MH Stainton gets away things when others don't makes us all wonder. Pockets are deep and specially being Caucasian.
