Matt and Kay were absolutely brilliant when we arranged a Level 3 Structural survey locally. Sadly our purchase of the property being surveyed didn’t go ahead, but we won’t hesitate to use MKN again. They were very forthcoming with information, any answers to questions, and very accommodating with dates. Matt’s report was produced quickly, laid out and written in an easy to understand format, and was very thorough. Not a single complaint to be had. Thank you Matt and Kay at MKN Surveyors for a very comprehensive home buyers level 2 survey. We sold our property in Scotland recently, where they use Home Buyers packs with the surveys done by the seller. While the cost was similar, it was certainly not as helpful and detailed as the one you have done for us and the level of detail you provided will help us moving forward to attend to the minor issues.

Massive thank to MKN for the service recently provided to us. The full structural report really helped assure us on our purchase and has given us a level of new information that is allowing us to prioritise the work we will do on the house. Absolutely outstanding service. We are serial movers and have moved on numerous occasions - we have had to read many survey reports which, to be frank, could have been in Mandarin. This report, however, is extremely clear, well written and informative.

It is easy to complain, I much prefer saying a big thank when work has been completed to a high standard. From the first phone call, the instruction, payment and receipt of the report have all been superb.

Buying an older property we had several concerns regarding the structure. We paid for a full building survey by MKN Surveyors.
Although the surveyor spent many hours at the property, the report was mainly padding and missed almost all of the significant defects in the house. We are still dealing with the dry rot, woodworm, unpotable water supply, rotten windows, leaking gutters and roof, non-compliant DIY bodges etc.
A real waste of >£1,000.

Edit 31 July 2022. I am afraid that this is NOT a fake or malicious review. The survey was performed in Ryedale in May 2021 and the report was a significant factor in our going ahead with the purchase. The name used for this review is a pseudonym but the review IS genuine. The bill was £1,176.
We did not complain as what were you going to do about it once we had bought the house
Although we were not present when the survey was carried out the vendors were and they commented on the procedure.
Unfortunately all the faults mentioned (and more) were not detected by the survey and are still being dealt with.

The service was faultless from initial booking to final report. The detail on the report was very clear as was the description out of any remedial works. I have used MKM on previous house purchases and would not hesitate in using them again.
